Thanks buddy. I've been running a similar system for more than a year, inspired by your solution. I used a system of electro-valves, electro-float-switches, and diodes, to direct RO water to jugs, an ice maker, and a coffee maker. Good solution!

Just make your own with a $3.00 air gun and a Gatorade bottle. It works just as well or better.

What about the oil filter?
@STho2052 ай бұрын
The only filter is a screen on the sump tube inside the motor (right sidecover). It is really not worth cleaning if you change your oil regularly. I just had mine off for the first time in 50000 miles last year. The screen was almost completely clean. These hondas do not have bunches of swarth or metal filings like India bikes or China bikes from their breakin period. Just an easy oil change like a lawn mower. About 1.5qts. Cost me $10 every 3000 to 4000 miles. Takes 5 minutes.

Chain adjusting is your biggest pain every 2000 miles or so. Happy motoring.

Does the solenoid get hot on your setup?
@tolikgord2 ай бұрын
Yes while running
@gmarch46182 ай бұрын
@@tolikgord Did some reading about how these work. someone selling recommended the N/O Normally Open if its going to remain in that state for a long period of time. Keeping power in the unit to open when its a N/C normally Closed is what causes it to heat up. N/O is open without power and the float triggers power to close the valve. So its not in a powered state for a long period of time. Will advise if this works out.

I purchased this (1/4" 12VDC Normally Open Electric Solenoid Valve Push-In Connector Quick Connect) from ebay and it works. The solenoid does not get enabled until the water reaches the top. So does not need to be active during the entire fill. Thank you for the video and this helped me build the auto shut.
@cjstout1Ай бұрын
A reviewer for the recommended solenoid said that this could work well with as low as 5V (but not lower than that). I wonder if it would be any cooler using a lower voltage power supply.
@gmarch4618Ай бұрын
@@cjstout1 i posted above that i switched over the an NO Normally Open solenoid. That took care of the heat issue. The solenoid gets hot from the field having current running through it. NO means its not active until the valve hits and tells it to close. Had to revers the valve too. now it will only activate when the bottle gets full and not the entire time the bottle is filling.
