Im on episode 620 of One Piece and have only the last part of AOT left. Id watch 620 episodes of AOT on repeat before rewatching those 620 episodes. OP is a great show with lots of depth to the characters and story but its so overrated because of how slow and drawn out it is. The best equivalent to One Piece is like watching a live cam of an eagle nest for 72 hours straight and only seeing the eagle for 5 minutes once every 6 hours. Mind numbingly hard to watch occasionally you see a shadow fly over so you perk up but false alarm back to trying to stay awake but then the eagle pulls up and it is an incredible sight.

Only people that critique One Piece are people who haven't seen it.

Funny that so many people give 1,000 episodes as a negative lol. Like why wouldnt someone want 1,000 episodes of their favorite show lol. Im sure HxH fans would kill for their series to reach 1,000 lolol. But i think the stigma comes from alot of longer running anime like Naruto last too long and dont hit the same notes and people dont want to be disappointed again, so they stick to shorter shows

Honestly it’s not an impossible task. I like one piece and thinks it’s really up there with other anime but I’m not an expert I just enjoy what I enjoy I think almost any anime could be top tier based on what your preferences are but I do agree we one piece fans tend to gaslight ourselves due to the sheer amount of episodes or chapters we have read of one piece but man if it is your cup of tea it is a good cup to sip from

Reading it is much more doable and enjoyable for me. Ive been able to go through it probably 8-10x quicker than i would watching the anime. The anime has serious pacing issues.
