I'm very impressed with how Andy was able to stay absolutely still for the entire 1:14:18 video.

I'm astonished to hear that the leader of my No. 1 band XTC (seriously! Well, okay, after the Beatles at No. 0) has Ollie Halsall, whom nobody has ever heard of, as his guitar hero! Because so have I, for 50 years after attending just one gig of Ollie (with Kevin Ayers). Me sitting in the front row, he blew me away. This was in my home town of Rotterdam. Where, must've been Jan. 1978, I witnessed 3 or 4 songs by XTC live (I was late because then you could get in for free). XTC were so amazing that after the interval I walked away during Talking Head's 2nd song - I thought at that moment they were rubbish in comparison. Andy/Ollie feels like the last link I needed in the chain of everything I love most in rock (and beyond) to prove to me that my brain works and my taste is not my worst of 1,2,3,4,5 senses. - BTW, Peter Halsall got his nickname Ollie because he himself pronounced his last name "'Olsall".

I recently got to meet Terry Chambers. Of course, I turned into a tongue-tied idiot. But at least I remembered to thank him for his drumming and the inspiration he gave me. Same to you, Mr. Partridge (except for the drumming, of course)!

It must be nice to get so many thoughtful questions, from real fans, I’m happy to give someone the time of day , But nobody gives a damn what i may or may not have to say, ha ha Been proud for decades to cite the xtc as me favorite band/artist, before i mention the other, lesser thousand of alltime favourites-of-all-time, Like so many other xtc fans! Ha ha

Awesome,,, yeah i heard of xtc, when i was still in high school in 1982, but only finally in ‘89 when i had got cable tv, now there was MTV and the mayor of simpleton simply couldn’t be beat! Only a year or two later did i have the opportunity to start buying tapes, and soon it was cd’s,,, The mummer tape was the first one i bought, and wow, it was obvious these guys were not like anybody else! Magical times, when we were 25! I wanna go back, Tell the lads thanks for all them tracks!!

Interesting to get insider knowledge. Maybe a little too much emphasis has been put on the lack of care or alleged incompetence on archiving material when it's a minority of cases. But also perhaps few predicted the appetite for nostalgia when making it easier for retrieving material decades later
