Nice video BUT... at the 38:10 mark you show the map of the Tuolumne Grove trail and it shows Do Not Climb On Giant Sequoias. At the 43:00 mark there's Chesley climbing on the Fallen Giant. The waterfall you saw from the turnout at the 46:15 mark was Bridal Veil Falls.

Nostalgia. Used to camp at Pheiffer regularly with the kids and another family back in the 80’s. Also camped in a heavy downpour at Samual P Taylor. On two separate occasions. Was wet and hilariously muddy. We would have huge Asian style feasts too. Our group was Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, & German American, so huge diverse meals. So much conviviality. We would bring our Klein and Specialized mountain bikes and go dirt trail and paved trail riding, and hiking. Good times. Thanks!

Sure thing, here's a biking map: www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/biking.htm We basically went from curry village > mirror lake > awhahnee meadow > awhahnee hotel > yosemite village > got lost > then biked back to curry village to return the bikes. We didn't have a clear route, we just biked where we wanted to and that was fun :) And yes I vlogged with an iphone!

@@iriswoohoo I tried to reserve a campsite from one of the 13-campsite . I am kind of not clear of the special requirement such as for daily and weekend only park entrance advance reservation requirement . If I successfully reserve a campsite , do I still also need to reserve a park entrance reservation ? I know everyone has to pay for park entrance unless they are special . What I meant is that if I have already reserved a campsite , do I still need to reserve a park entrance separately since the difference is that I will stay at the park overnight while other that does not camp eventually has to leave at the end of the day . Thanks .
@iriswoohoo13 күн бұрын
@@intheworkscamp-inrv1147 Hi - no you don't need park entrance advance reservation if you already have a campsite reservation. Having a campsite reservation is a golden ticket for entry :) You DO have to pay for park entrance as an additional fee though -- you pay when you arrive at the tollbooth. I think it's like $30 per car.

@iriswoohoo18 күн бұрын
Hi! the starting point is the Mist Trail. Then you just keep going up 3 miles (4.8 km) round trip to Vernal Fall, and if you want to get to the very top, it's 7 miles (11 km) round trip to Nevada Fall. It's basically one long trail up, there are signs and you won't miss it!

This is awesome! What time of year was this? And how deep does this water get?
@iriswoohoo18 күн бұрын
This was in June, and the water level varies depending on which section of the river you're in, but it gets really shallow at some parts (when you have to get off and drag your floats) and in other parts, you can actually swim a bit.

With lots of hopes and prayers. Your best bet is to rally a group of friends to get up at 6:30am, open up a bunch of browser windows with campsites you want to snag, and have everyone smash that 'reserve' button the moment the time hits 7am sharp. You'll have to basically book it 5 months ahead -- right when the reservations system opens up.
