So informative and fun to watch thank you. Also i am an 18 year old who likes writing and also loves the idea of business. I recently learned about copy writing. And i am confused. If i should pursue writing fiction or do copy writing or both. I love writing but i am in a rough financial spot because ofc money is important to live. So i though i should do copy writing but with all the ai taking over and stuff its so confusing. I hope i find my answer soon and do what i love. I know i am good at it but everything is just stressinf me out. If anyone can give any advice on this please do.

So glad you enjoyed the show! Everyone's journey is their own so you truly are the best person to choose your path forward. But I can tell you that almost every writer--maybe, in fact, EVERY writer--you see on this show had a full-time, non-writing job at some point. It's actually one of my favorite topics to discuss during the 1:1 interviews. For instance, John Gilstrap worked as a Safety Director, David Swinson booked punk rock bands at a nightclub and later became a detective in D.C., and until about 6 months ago I was a Quality Director for a medical device company. All that to say: there are real-world things we have to do, but you can still foster a rewarding and successful writing career. So if you do pursue copywriting, you could conceivably write fiction as well (I now host this show and write fiction, so in a way I swapped one gig for another), and even if you go a non-writing path, you can still come back to it later on carve out time to write. Best of luck to you whatever you choose. We were all once where you are, so don't despair. There's a lot to look forward to.
@Handleshow112Ай бұрын
@WritersDrinking thank you so much. Amazing advice! I have come to a conclusion that, everything's risky. So just go for it. Right now I am doing my best in independently learning everything about copywriting and I think it's pretty cool. Even if AI takes over in the future I can just so anything else and as you said, I can always write fiction while doing something else. The point is to do what you love. Thank you so much again. You are amazing. Keep up the good work. I look forward to new things in the channel and do you have any social media ? I would like to follow.

Fair enough, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I've heard some stories from hunters, but who can say for sure without a body. There's a book entitled Where Bigfoot Walks by Robert Michael Pyle that argues that we need spaces so wild that we CAN believe that unexplained creatures roam, that speak to that part of the heart that craves stories of monsters and the unknown. I think I love stories about Sasquatch and other mysterious beings because they speak to that part of me.

In 1978 I was walking with my 13 Year old step sister and I was 9. We heard a massive roar growl scream thing and we froze. It actually vibrated the ground it had such velocity to it. Then we Saw what it hurled at US, a GIGANTIC Rock/boulder right where we were walking. Had it not screamed which Made Us stop we would have been crushed by it. We looked up as it came from the Left ten feet over our Head and landed directly in front of US. We didn't scream and run till I went up and felt the rock. Convinced this was somehow a joke. When I realized it was a real 800 lb boulder That's when we ran home. But never actually Saw it. But I know what I Heard and Saw what it's capable of doing and ten Men couldn't have done what it did. And I have a witness to this incident. VERY scary though. We were four feet from being crushed or seriously hurt.

Which Left me really confused bcuz it had to be massive to throw that boulder so high and far. Then a few years ago I learned They have the ability to make themselves invisible. And I thought boom that's what it had to have done bcuz the growl scream roar sounded twenty feet away but we couldn't see anything there. Kinda like predator the movie. I would have looked better had I seen that movie prior to this incident. Bcuz it was there we just couldn't see it. And there was nothing to hide behind and no time to run away without Us seeing it. I'll never forget THAT day and it changed my thoughts on them and our secret keeping government. I've known they existed since that day without a doubt and they are fiercely strong beyond measure. Nothing like a human strength. We are nothing compared to them strength Wise.

The eyes were in the middle. Then the whole interdimensional being appeared. It looked like the Grim reaper. It held a staff that seemed hypnotizing. It seemed to feed on my fear. It started to approach me. As it did my friend said "Do you see it? ". I forgot that my friend was next to me. I Said "Yes I See it". @WritersDrinking none of those so-called creatures are real. With all the technology we have today, you should be able to capture some good evidence. Every image is blurry or un focused. I'm sorry it's just cheap entertainment. Give me something good, and I will apologize upside-down and inside out. Set a thousand trail cameras out there and capture something, or these creatures are just the hide and seek champs.
@WritersDrinking3 ай бұрын
No need to be sorry. I'm a fiction writer who hosts a channel called Writers Drinking Whiskey; I love storytelling in all its forms, and tales of monsters are amongst the earliest stories we tell. Not trying to change anyone's mind on any topic, just exploring the universe one storyteller at a time. Rather than cheap, I think stories are foundational, and I have no qualms about throwing in an "unexplained" topic once in a while. Although I have seen t-shirts and caps declaring Sasquatch the hide-and-seek world champion, so there is that...

@@WritersDrinking indeed. Even David pauludes admits they are spiritual beings repelled by prayer. Bob gymlyn, bigfoot youtuber, also experienced mild demonic activity. There's a book called "inhumanoids" by Barton nunnely describing them being repelled by prayer. I've researched "entities" for over 10 years, so when I say they're demons, most people think I'm crazy and making things up out of thin air. Or I'm just Christian and assuming things. On the contrary. I was agnostic before having my own experience and putting in the research.

Unfortunately with these types of topics there are always people that just dismiss it out of hand and accuse claimants as being crazy, hoaxers, or simply misidenifying common things. The second the government lends it credence, like with UAPs, or they experience something themselves, they change their tune. I've always found it funny that people who claim to have seen Big Foot have just enough evidence to say "you see?! I saw something!".....but never enough of it to actually be concrete. Our world would certainly be more interesting if things like Big Foot, vampires and witchcraft was real and to some extent, there's probably some truth to it but in the end it's more similar to having faith than hard data.
@WritersDrinking3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your thoughts! Matt details some of the physical evidence, but without a body we'll never prove beyond doubt that there are apes roaming around the forests of North America. I personally don't want it to be proven one way or another. It's more fascinating as a mystery. There's a term the "necessary monster" that signifies what is just on the other edge of the known, and I think its fun and fulfilling to explore that monster.
