Hey Livingston family, where are you guys? We really miss your farm videos and hope you are all doing okay! Please let us know what’s up???

I’ve noticed since you removed your trees along the top road the sound of the traffic on the top road is definitely far more intrusive! Were the trees originally planted as an environmental sound barrier? In uk we plant hedges and trees to create environmental barriers and green corridors for wid animals/birds. ❤

Hey Peter.... my name is Jerry Livingston from east Texas. Family moved from Alabama to Texas in the 1800s. Wondering if you have kinfolk in this part of the world?

Don’t be discouraged. Waiting for those cows to get bred for the first time takes longer than we hope it will sometimes.

I say this to be completely helpful, but the bull is too small. There’s absolutely no way he’s big enough to mount and inseminate the cow or even the heifers. How old is he? He doesn’t look close to mature enough for breeding purposes. I used the same pregnancy test this year on my Hereford cattle, so I don’t think the tests are an issue. With the number of cows you all have, I’d recommend maybe using AI but waiting a little later in the year so you’re not calving at the end of summer.

Don’t worry it will happen. My son has some highland cows. His bull is young and he has one cow and 3 heifers. The cow had a bull calf about six months ago. One of the heifers had a bull calf about three months ago. Another heifer had her calf today and it’s a little heifer. The other heifer we think is she a little bit to small for the bull. He hurt her a few months but the vet said just be patient. He may want to do what he is supposed to do. But the girls have to be in season. Just be patient. Thanks for sharing. Have a good Thanksgiving. 😎😎 👍

I was wondering if the problem is with the breed of pigs. They are cute though. I missed what you said you are doing with them. Other youtubers that raise pigs don't seem to have the same problems. I am glad you got goats, I love goats. You can eat their meat to if you are so inclined.

Kunekune pigs are a very docile medium breed of pig with a short snout. Mine only root the top soil, and don’t kill the grass. The only con with them is it takes about 18 months to get them to butcher size. My 4 year old can go in the pasture with me even with the boars at feeding time.

Love the video!!! Please have that boy wear his seatbelt. I have seen to many accidents when someone smaller hits a bump and falls out. Not trying to be mean or anything but just trying to lookout.

Please don't listen to people telling you that you should remove horns from Highland cattle. I've raised Highland's. They're not aggressive and don't use their horns aggressively. They do use them in social communication within the herd. People telling you that you should do this and how dangerous they are haven't raised or worked with Highlands.

I've read that giving pigs bowling balls to play with helps; it gives them toys to play with.

You might look at something to retard the growth of those horns as they become dangerous.
