Great video. Always enjoy your enthusiasm for Dartmoor. I spend most of my time on the north moors, only a 15-minute drive for me.

Thank you! It's great to be back. Here on Dartmoor in the UK we are just about to enter the Summer season, therefore everything will be starting to grow and come to life! On Dartmoor there is a higher chance of Rain even on Hot and Blue Sky Days compared to the surrounding area. This is of course due to the high Altitude and the ever growing small weather systems that develop over the moorland.

I too have Olympus but why do you use ISO 64 when the native is 200. I thought lower ISO was just when you needed to extend the shutter speed for long exposures?

I'll be honest, I used ISO 64 due to the flat and calm conditions therefore not needing to use a higher shutter speed especially seeing as it was on the Tripod aswell. Not only that with the grey and flat conditions there is an added risk of grain from using a High ISO. I hope that helps!

Great video Tom. I also took up photography 6-7 Years ago but I am now in my 70s and no longer mobile enough to walk too far ( or up too many hills). I am in Somerset and love Dartmoor but have to plan locations very carefully. I watched with envy your video up there in the snow🤪

First time I have encountered you Tom, and I have subscribed, liking your style and many of your images. I’m new to Olympus and interested to learn about the filters you use. Is there a hood of some sort on the end?

Thank you very much. I use the Cokinn Filter system and have a ND8 Filter and the ND8 Graduated filter which i used in the video. The hood on the end attached to the housing which you slide the square filters in. It helps minimise a few raindrops but also protects the filter if the camera was to fall
