Thank youuu so much for all the support!! Yeah this is the reason why it took so long to record that one haha, it was a lot of work to learn both part and get consistent for the entire song, but i really wanted to be honest with my abilities with these covers, no cuts or editing even if it's not perfect, and besides hey these guys used to play the entire album front to back and more everynight without fucking up once so i definitely still got room for improvement haha! cheers man, and yeah i've spoken with them a bit last year and i know for sure Erik is aware of them which is already so huge for me considering how much i've always looked up to him as a guitar player 😭

@@arsouille1367 The final take everyone sees: 😃 Days of failed recordings no one sees: 💀 but fr dude it would be my dream to talk to or meet Erik or David. I tried to comment on a Vektor Facebook post once and accidentally sent Vektor a messenger message. I meant to say "Hyped for the upcoming album🤘" in the comments but it sent a DM. I know Erik is the one that runs the Facebook, so when I saw that Vektor read my message It felt so awesome even though he didn't respond. Also, I have the original pressings of all the Vektor CDs including the original 2006 Demolition pressing. Only CDs I don't have is Hunger for Violence single and the original Nucleus demo because those virtually don't exist lol. I discovered Vektor after the drama happened, so if they ever end up touring the U.S. again I'm gonna try to see them.

@@Lukez1lla hahaha yeah pretty much, i don't try to record until i'm confident with the song so not a lot of failed recordings but i have to admit with this one i started to sweat a little bit by the end, like when i've been playing the song for 2 hours and i'm at the 11mn mark without fucking up, i'm like "oh shit is this the one? wait don't think about that you're gonna mess it up"🤣 idk if it's like that for every show, but where i saw them they were very approchable and hung out after, they took a picture and shook hands and had a chat with litteraly everyone until everyone was gone. Erik was even at the merch before the show so i talked to him multiple times and i can tell you he is the coolest nicest dude you'll ever meet, simply the goat 👑👑 oh it's awesome that you got such a collection even tho you're a "late" fan, and yeah the situation totally sucks for you guys in the usa, i hope they can play shows there again eventually... hopefully for the new album!

@arsouille13672 ай бұрын
great choice, love those bands as well!! yeah that chorus is really special, really catchy but without loosing any of the heaviness or the somber tone of the song and the album in general. and the fact it's such a short and catchy idea that keeps repeatiing like a mantra until the riff breaks down completely into dissonant diminished chords is a perfect musical analogy for the themes present in the lyrics, about how a society or anything that's stagnating is built on pillars of sand, meaning it will inevitably break down and collapse

@@Font_2 @Font_2 you know what you motivated me lol so i'm rewriting tabs for the album, you can check either on songsterr i've done the first 3 songs for now, or i'll put them in this drive as well drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jb4p2fLnsoqFf0AH5BoKkw4E7nVVxPXN?usp=drive_link I don't think there"s really an easy vektor song for a newer player but the good news is you're gonna improve immensely if you try to learn them. of terminal redux i would say cygnus terminal is great, or psychotropia especially the slower parts. other than that Asteroid is super super fun to play and one of the least complex ones i feel. I'd also say try tetrastructural minds if you haven't already, definitely not easy but it's such a great song it's always gonna feel great to play even if you're struggling. And by practicing these riffs you're basically developping all the techniques used in their entire repertoire. But honestly i think the best vektor song to learn is the one YOU really want to play, theyre all gonna be diffiuclt at first so you should probably just dive into what is really motivating you. I was obsessed with Oblivion years ago and it was so hard dude, it kicked my ass so bad but i kept practicing everyday because i loved the song and wanted to play it so much, that's what carried me. At least that's how i learned, start as slow as you need and build up that precision and stamina 🤗🦾
