This band came together as a whole without the mix of the group we would not of known Alice and Chains

Somebody who knows how to do this should combine this really great audio from the Fallon show with the other video of that performance. This is what that video should sound like! Awesome.

The guitars sound is HUGE and such a great pop sensibility on top of pure heaviness

Copper Blue still stands out as one of the best albums of the early 90s. Certainly it brings lots of happy memories to this Old Jock (and that's a Scot if you're American)

dude would bleed his voice dry every time he was on stage. still gauged every ounce he could get out of it and adjusted accordingly

I wish I had. The Brazilian engineer who did the mix for the TV broadcast is known for having the whole concert on audio but from what I know he keeps it with him and never shared. By the way, that mix is one of the best live mixes from a rock band I’ve ever heard. The guy did a superb job. Oh, he also claims to have the Nirvana concert in Rio too.
@ToneOClock2 ай бұрын
@@ManWithouties Oh yeah, the mix is superb. Do you know how I could get in contact with the engineer? Cause this and the Nirvana show are pretty holy grail stuff for people so it would be cool to get them out there
@ManWithouties2 ай бұрын
@@ToneOClock He's Carlos Freitas, just google his name. I'm pretty sure Live Nirvana staff tried to reached him out but from what I've heard, no luck. Others might have tried as well. He's got some DAT tapes from that festival. He must be afraid of something (copyrights?) or he just doesn't want to share. Let me know if you get anything new. I've been patiently waiting for those tapes see the light for years now...
@ToneOClock2 ай бұрын
@@ManWithouties He's replied, He has the tapes but won't give them out due to copyright issues

@@ToneOClock ouch!! Decades of bootlegs and nothing happens… Oh well… I guess we won’t hear those tapes, period. Let’s hope I’m wrong. Anyway, thanks for the update!!

A part of this song lyrics "Tell me your favorite thing" would inspired MVB's lyrics of Blown a wish.

Yeah this Sugar song was inspired by the MBV song and a deliberate nod to it. Both songs are great.

This is a different mix from the album track ( Among My Swan ) Not sure if it's a different recording or just a different mix. Either way, beautiful song, beautiful Hope Sandoval, great album and Mazzy Star had a unique sound. They finished at probably the right time, as they felt that they would just start to repeat themselves if they continued to record. Also, Hope had already formed, recorded & performed with The Warm Inventions before the sad passing of David Roback. They were a quality unit, great melodies, lovely textures & atmospheric songs. I have their four studio albums & their final E.P. & also albums of Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions. They are all there folks, all still readily available, to listen to anytime you wish. Loved this video, very atmospheric, very goth, very Mazzy Star.

It’s from the fact that he probably sings 10 more songs before this just screaming. And he was using heroine. It could be that, but it’s most likely the fact that he screams when he sings.

yes you are probably correct. good job Barnaby! it's not heroine.. it's heroin. thanks for sharing
