My grandmother lives in this lil dirty town lol Impressive!! was it a lp supercell or a downburst??? I dnt see a defined flanking line or rotation is why I asked

Thanks for commenting. It was a more in the MCS / downburst category (cell was overtaken by an area of storms coming up from behind it).

Thanks for your work here. If I may, what type of Go Pro do you have? Whoa, that's some horizontal rain flying by.

How high was this peak flood stage and did the area flooded surpass previous equivalent flood stage peaks in the past? As runaway climate accelerates, storms are depositing more rain so frequency of higher flooding events will increase; therefore, have you observed this expanded area being flooded before and is it happening with greater frequency than before if so? Thanks for your recording this event.

Oh wow! What a great shot. That's just a few miles from where I live. Not too often we get giant supercell storms like that. I bet you could've gotten some more great visuals from the beach as it moved off shore.

I was actually in this, at a bday party when a siren went off. Anyone know of a 2 tone siren around this area?
@easternchaser

Good question. Didn’t hear a siren during my chase, but the activation of sirens (if any) is different from municipality to municipality.

Here in Southern California, we get storms like this, mainly during El Nino and usually in late December, January, February and early March. The strongest storms, such as this one usually occur in February.
