hey , I know you're still working on a sequel / revision: and I just discovered something I thought you'd need to know. There's something wrong with gain stage in sidekick2. it's either a fixed bit process or is hard clipping at zero. Feeding a 'hot' signal into this near or past zero at 32bit float" results in clipping distortion which shouldn't happen. hope you can fix for next time.

Ah yes. It has a clip module so it will clip above zero. I can try removing this. Very happy to hear it is still being used though 🙂 I guess for now you could lower the signal a few db before it reaches SideKick and then increase by a few db after but I will fix this asap. Thanks

@@RewiredRecords ah interesting. I'm a bit of an edge case because I mix at 'master ' level, so I am used to gain staging plugins for this reason, but only usually non-linear processors, I wouldn't expect to do so with a linear plugin like a volume envelope. Maybe add a clip button? It still feels like a strange option on a sidechain to me tho haha. I can confirm non of the competition clip, so to those that don't understand, I fear it may get judged as inferior sound quality.

I think you are correct it doesn’t need to be there. I usually have the clipper in my instrument plugin so just used it here too without considering that it might be an issue

I created it to have a very similar layout to sylenth so if you know how to use that you can use this easily. Sounds and feature-wise though this is very different and offers a lot of features that sylenth does not, like extra waveforms, trance gate, FM synthesis, Sync and more

Thanks man! I have dealt with this issue for a long time. I even used to just copy and paste the MIDIs to another pattern just to get rid of the automation lol Finally just now decided to look it up and your video is short, to the point and perfect.
