That can only being the 5500 because the reel is very small thats not the 14000

Gotta disagree heavily. I am looking for a somewhat bigger reel. I don’t need a baitrunner, neither do I need automatic bail arm…

​@@Markusgebvor Daiwa has a much more diverse portfolio of reels, to the liking of every fisherman, and you will surely find what you need. Besides that, they kept the essential features of the reels, and continued to improve them without removing other important features like Simano did. From my point of view, they have become superior to Shimano's. I noticed and it can be seen in almost all the reviews with English fishermen, that they prefer compact but high-performance reels, that's why they all prefer Daiwa and almost all of them use Daiwa not Shimano Good luck finding exactly what is most useful for you 👍

@@mariusmarius4148 I do fish 2 beautiful Daiwa reels. But one is still a big pit with exactly the features I mentioned and I really appreciate (Basia Tournament). The other is a smaller reel for my 10 ft. rods. So I still ask, why the Shimano-hate?

@@Markusgebvor I have used only Shimano for over 15 years. They are good reels, even very good, but since they started with the Big Pit models, they no longer emphasize the most compact ones, e.g. those of 5500 Medium Size, they left these behind, they don't improve them at all and they didn't expand the range of 5500 with top features. I only use reels of maximum 5500 and necessarily with the Baitrunner, because from my point of view it is the most comfortable fishing, and the reel is safer and more useful when the fish is hooked and it leaves with the mount, and besides that, it is much more practical than the one with only the front brake, which must be adjusted after each launch. Then the problem that they eliminated the automatic release of the Bail Arm, because this is also part of the fisherman's comfort. You always have to reset the Bail Arm manually, which is just an added concern and an action the angler has to do manually after every cast. But the fact that they eliminated the automatic system does not help at all and is not at all more reliable. Since then, I have also given up on Shimano reels. Because I can't find in their portfolio a 5500 reel, performance like the Big Pit ones but with Baitrunner and the automatic return of the Bail Arm to the initial position, when we turn the handle. For example, I would like an Ultegra Ci4+ 5500 XTD with Baitrunner and automatic return of the Bail Arm when we turn the handle. But unfortunately, Shimano can't offer something like this, although it's nothing special or difficult to achieve, but Daiwa have some similar models that offer all the top features, including the two, Baitrunner and Automatic return the Bail Arm. Another 4-5 friends of mine have given up on Shimano, also for the same reason. Two or three of them gave up before me

@@mariusmarius4148 I agree, that for some types of fishing the mentioned features are increasing comfort a lot. And that it is a pity if it’s missing in the offered range. But for my style of fishing, these reels would fit perfectly and I am really considering switching from Daiwa to Shimano big pits.
