I don’t know if I am understanding this question entirely haha, I do have a handful of videos on this tool though that might help more. There’s a full tutorial here you could skim through. I’m happy to help if I can.

@@KendrasGotWood i have bee frames few of them have extra edges i just need to trim just a little bit with the sides of the frame these sides are like 1 inch each side so can i do it with the rotary tool even if bees were on the comb? I don't wanna buy it if its not gonna help so im asking you as an expert

Thank you! It’s the surf prep 3x4 ray sander. Its amazing. Pricey, but worth it. I use their profoam sandpaper. My code: Kendra saves an extra 10% if you decide to make the investment.

Hello, I'm days away from buying a Thunder laser, and I still don't know which one to decide on. Could you help me with that? Since I will be doing a lot of cutting and engraving, how good is the 130w for making engravings? Since I know that it is excellent in cuts and that the Nova 51 or the 63 is better for me, could you help me with this very important decision?

Mine is the 100w and I’m able to cut 1/2” material with the 2” lens without any issues. I feel like the 51 is huge so I know the 63 has got to be massive. It’s awesome having the bed space though so if you have the room for it, I don’t see why you’d regret you getting the biggest and best. I’d just make sure to measure the space and make sure you’re prepared for the delivery as well.

This is an older video I made right around the time I got the laser. Actually cut this word out for a book I wrote on sign making. These days I’d laser a cut a word for sure unless it was going to be cut from hardwoods and I didn’t want the charring on the sides.

@@KendrasGotWood Sorry, I should have worded that better. It looks like you are starting with long rectangle pieces of wood that you are making rabbets from. Did you cut down boards to get that shape or did you buy them already in 1" x 1" ? :)

LOVE! I always wanted to paint but just not good at it. I got 2 large wood leaves from Dollar Tree and want to paint them from outer to inner...red, orange then golden yellow in center. I don't know how to blend or pick the right colors.

Thanks! It honestly just takes practice and a lot of patience. 😆 A tip I can offer- when you’re picking the colors it can make things easier if you get a handful that a very close. So pick your fave yellow, orange and red then get the ones in between for blending. You wouldn’t have to mix as much and the differences won’t be super stark. I just use craft store acrylic most of the time. I like decor art Americana.

Cherry is my favorite Wood to burn with so far- nice choice! Walnut is my least favorite, but not because it looks bad- it looks really good! But good lord it stinks like nothing else and the smell lingers for a while. That's with a proper enclosure/extraction system too- it completely eliminates smoke and most of the time I like the smell of most Woods and it gets rid of those smells really well, but NOT Walnut- it actually makes me nauseous sometimes- if you've ever chewed up a Xanax, it's kinda like that in smell-form (Xanax has an absolutely terrible taste). I figured a 100 watt CO2 laser would be faster than that. So far I've only got experience with Diode Lasers, I've got a 10 and a 20 watt and I really love them! I do more cutting than engraving and from what I've learned diodes are really great for cutting- they match CO2 lasers at the higher end (30+ watt) so they fit my needs. I do really wish I could cut through clear acrylic though so I could make windows for my miniatures without using a saw but that's down the road once I start making Money with the Lasers- the CO2 needs to pay for itself, which I plan to completely custom build so I can have a large bed/Z-Axis without having to sacrifice to the Gods :P If you're interested in seeing what I make 'ChaosFabs' with the other web address stuff (YT doesn't like links)- I design/produce everything myself so everything is original. I only have the things I offer on the site but I do much more than just Miniatures and those things will be on there soon. Take care and thanks for the Tutorial, I'm doing a lot of experimenting all the time and epoxy is the next thing I want to start messing around with.

Have you ever thought of making a flat pack of ornaments for customers to shape and paint? Another idea/income generator would be to make a wine and paint night in your area.

@@KendrasGotWood I was thinking about doing something like this the other day. I like that you added the contours and shaped the pumpkin to be realistic. The color sure made it pop. What would you price this at? Making a table display and upselling would be good, too.
