I am with everyone else on this. Why did you not clean up the rest of the knife.

I can't believe you didn't clean the knife when you had it apart

For God's sake remake this video and do it right! The kick on the tang of the old original blade was worn down and your blades hitting the rocker spring!!

You spend all that time and effort to carefully take the knife apart then craft a new blade and while you have it apart you don't clean it all up, why?

El peor video en cuanto a ejecución de todos los que e visto y un crimen a la restauración en si desmontar y no limpiar y lijar las demás piezas vamos eso me dice todo

Suprised you didn't put in the thumbnail groove in the blade.

I think you should of re-platted the blades and polished the brass.

A knife blade does not become hard just by annealing, for hardening the blade must be surrounded by carbon so that the iron absorbs the carbon and thus turns from iron to steel.

Great work but blade profile is a little off, needs a nail notch and bigger tang to get more spring tension. I have not made any blades but replaced a few. I haven’t mastered a good looking nail notch, just used a dremel cutting wheel, effective but ugly.

The new blade looks great. But, it has NO SNAP!
@Kodiak_Edge2 ай бұрын
because the kick on the tang that makes the snap on the bar spring was worn down and he used the old blade as a pattern! he should of made the kick on the tang stick down further now his blade is hitting the spring to lol

Very cool! I've been gathering parts to do something similar. A model T cowl, some 46-48 ford passenger car fenders, etc. I will run a straight 6 Ford because I already have an extra one.

Great job. The Cub and Boy Scout knives are great knives. I have many of both the Imperial and Camillus models. Why didn’t you put a thumb nail cut in the blade? To each his own. Great work.
