We are always our own worst enemies and critics. My brain is a horrible traitor most of the time but I've learned to ignore it. Whatever it tells me, I tell myself the opposite. If it says I'm not good enough I tell myself that I am good enough. When it speaks of shame I think of all the good things I do and when it brings back every misdeed from my past I show it my present. When it tries to convince me that everyone knows and I'm not fooling anyone then I tell it good, I don't have to be normal and I would hope that everyone would see how it's changed me into the better person that I've become. I don't know if it will ever work normally and be kind to me, if not then I'll just keep showing it the reality of things and not the warped overblown version of events it wants to convince me that are real.

Thanks for your kind words :) Even though I know he still has feelings for me, he is ok with being friends. He says he is, and that has to be good enough, it has to be. Dating is a weird thing. 1 person usually ends up falling harder than the other. Its a scary thing, and I dont want to be on the other end of it. But I guess we take our chances with our hearts and jump in. I usually just dip a toe in first, try to be smart about things. Doesnt always work out ;) But heres to hoping.....

I feel like a terrible human being. I am on the other side of this equation. Yesterday, I broke someones heart. We were dating for 3 and a half months, sort of long distance,2 and a half hrs away. He told me he was falling in love with me yesterday, but Im not falling for him. I can feel his pain in this song, and it hurts me.
