Great stuff. Honestly people who Critique wrist grabs have no idea of the function. It’s power generation and sensitivity. You can’t rely on your legs for just arms for power. Also sourcing where the uke is coming from. After a lot of training you can instantly get kuzushi on someone and generate a lot of power in a short amount of time. Thanks !

For all the nay sayers out there, Aikido is NOT a soft art. It is practiced & taught as such which has lead to criticism. Atemi is implied but rarely demonstrated or explained as bunkai as here. Is it "the best" martial art? That is up for discussion. As Sensei Dennis Hooker opined, Aikido is the art to polish off all the rough edges.

Wrist grabs are useless and the most unlikely form of attack in martial arts.They need to be eliminated.

Please continue studying Martial Arts and Budo. One day you will begin to question many things including how to redefine winning and losing, sword culture and Nishio’s approach to Budo.

Well that is categorically not true... XD Demonstrations show basic techniques in their basic forms. If you want to learn a technique you need to be shown a form, not just fighting applications since you wont be able to absorb it correctly.

Very nice... I am not practicing this style of aikido, but I think the late Nishio sensei would be pleased. Good job indeed.
