The best bootleg compilation I ever found was done in 1997 and is called The Complete Hollywood Bowl Concerts. It contains ALL of the music from both the '64 and '65 shows. Of course, the mixes are not major label quality but they are very good and you get to hear the in context. To me, this is what SHOULD have been done when they released the 2016 CD.

They're currently being aired in their complete form on a channel way up the list called "That's TV", complete with the Yorkshire Television ident. I wanted to start from the beginning so went to ITVx and immediately noticed cuts because the studio laughter just cuts in or out at certain edit points. I feel very annoyed to be missing out on jokes! I did notice a few fade-outs that seemed very much like old ad break spots. And then I ended up here!

Oh no, I didn't know Oliver had gone! I knew he was getting treatment and had been unwell, based on the announcements and the 'KZbin Telethon' he posted a short while ago, but I didn't know he had died. To me he was a legend who seemed to passionately care and for featuring some of the items he did, we should all be appreciative. It is true to say that I didn't see everything that was posted by him, but some really great things that I thought I'd never see again, for sure! As with most things it was a case of pick and choose, as there were some things I didn't want to see - not just because they had to be edited down for copyright/content match reasons, but for other reasons too. I, also, hope his channel will continue and there won't be any reason for it to be stopped or closed down. I also hope there'll be more great content added (if possible) some time in the future too; as I'm sure there were lots more he was planning on posting, etc, if he could do so. Anyway, I'll leave this comment here, as I don't want to make it too long; I think it already is and I've said what I felt I wanted to.

I seem to recall that the album starts with the camera shutter sound and that on the last remaster you could hear it quietly before the track properly started. Not sure if i am describing that well but is this the same? Sounds like it will be. Remember it was a bit annoying and not present on the original.

the chauffeur is a masterpiece.

Fantastic album bought when it was released as well as the singles and 12" versions and saw the Rio tour. As an album from a-z it is a stunner and I've listened to this album continuous since then. The Chauffeur imho is a fantastic ending track just as Tel Aviv was on the first and not Is there something I should know as some people think. It was added to early mid price releases if I'm correct.
