125cc Dirt Bikes can be great entry level bikes for kids, but the seat height can be a bit tall for a 10 year old.

Got my first mini-bike in 1970, A Cat Eliminator. My brother John had the Stellar Quasi in the early 60's. He would drive it to junior high school and park it downstairs in one of the hallways below the gymnasium.

What a great piece of film!!! Dad got me and my brother a brand new 1970 Golden Pinto Christmas morning (they have both since passed, I still ride their 1951 Indian Chief today). We've all always rode, as does my wife, our daughters and all of our grandkids today. I'll be 60 next year and have no plans to stop riding dirtbikes or streetbikes in the foreseeable future.

Yes because it changes your gear ratio, it’ll especially make a difference with a torque converter set up like yours

Honestly try and get it piece by piece if u really want it cheap. You gotta use OfferUp or other sites and usually clean up parts yourself like carbs, gas tanks, rust and more but they’ll work Fs got a 196cc for 50$ basically new
