Hi, this is an older video, and I'm wondering if you ever got your backfiring issue sorted out. I just drug home my own Skorpion, and it runs fine, but I read that it will start popping if the diaphragm in that strange looking side of the carburetor isn't in good condition. The guy called it the "anti popping valve" I wonder if your carb kit included that part. The one I got has even less miles at 4000, and was stored inside. It's a really weird time capsule. Still with the original tires, tool kit, key fob, etc. I'm curious if you've ridden yours, and how you like it.

Bottom end is good, and I have cylinders and pistons from the 750 kit ready to go, and I got the head ported. I am waiting to get upgraded valve springs and upgraded clutch plates and springs and I’ll have it back together. I just have too many projects, need to set some time aside to get this one done. 👍👍

Great little bikes but the electrics can very sketch. MZ was sold in the states a former German make. It's not a raptor motor but similar. It is euro spec Yamaha 660 5 valve head. They were raced in the sounds of singles. Great buy. It's got a odd German carb one big one small works like a 4 barrel carb.

@@SystemAdministrator1 yeah check out the 8 minute video I uploaded, it explains everything I did to the bike. To sum it up, tank and sending unit was rusted, was able to restore tank, replaced sending unit with used one, and new fuel filter. After this bike wouldn’t start at all. I chased a bunch of “issues” and all it needs was four new plugs, I had pulled one to check the plugs, and the one I pulled out was clean, so I assumed all would be clean, I had three horrible plugs and one good one; just my luck. After replacing the four plugs bike ran like brand new, never even had to clean the injectors.

Do czego służy temu spray? Mam taki sam motocykl. Mało nim jeżdżę, bo pozycja jest niewygodna i mocno wibruje. Kupiłem go bo jestem fanem marki MZ i kolekcjonuje motocykle tej firmy. Innymi motocyklami tej marki jeździ się znacznie przyjemniej.

That's gives me the idea of screwing a full bottle. Cutting a hole on the bottom. Stick a long screw driver all the way down a pop a hole in the seal at the neck. Boom pouring hands free

Tank is not fiberglass, it is molded plastic (Italian Ascerbis). They swell from many gasolines (esp. California MTBE, fortunately discontinued), and the paint suffers. I've not determined the best paint options.

I have one of these. It honestly gets more attention then my Harley bobber does because it’s different. It has a 750 kit and it’s actually pretty perky. Not a power house but definitely a blast.

Nice awesome, and yeah that’s how I feel about something like this, to me a cb 750 or xs chopper is just neat! And awesome, how do you like the 750? Did you upgrade clutch? And did you rephrase or just left crank stock? 👍👍

@@BichoteRacing 750 works great I left the clutch stock. I was going to rephase it but I live in northern canada and trying to ship and get anything done is a nightmare. So I just left it. So it’s cammed and has a mild port with the 750 kit. I also have a 1250 sportster that’s hard tailed and with a buddy on one they are pretty evenly matched. You will love it.

That's a great find, any idea if the Raptor motor is a direct plug into the MZ frame?

Thanks man, it definitely was, still working out a few kinks but for 300$ it was one of the better deals I have found. And you might be able to adapt it, but it’s a ways different, even the gearbox is a lot different; and Yamaha szr660 is a direct twin though, but that’s a uk only model.

Compression seems like it's seen better days. Cool bike though! Love my RD 350 and my wifes R5/RD hybrid.

I will have to check compression, thanks. And awesome, they are great bikes, I got this one for like 600$ with fl title years ago, I wish I would’ve set aside an rd350 or a 400. And cool that you have a r5/350 hybrid too; any advice on the jetting you used for it? I’m still trying to work out Jetting on mine, thanks.
