Stagers me all these years later how great this soundtrack was, always loved it but appreciate the time and expertise required to make such incredible music with such limited space they had on the carts. Soyo Oka is a genius.

When I hear this I think back to holidays during the 90s. Thanksgiving especially. Me and my cousins would go down to my aunt's basement (video games weren't allowed on the "big tv") and play until dinner was ready. This was probably 1995-1998 or so. I'm 34 now and I get reminded of my childhood constantly now thanks to KZbin shoving nostalgia in my face every day lol.

It's incredible how much that bassline detail gets lost in Sandopolis Act 2 in other version of the song, the 3 bass hits followed by the one kick every measure get almost completely lost but they're perfectly clear here!

The “tournament win” uses the skatalites upright bass players melodies , you can hear that bassline in the skatalites track “Rude boy”
