Great events and races, thanks for sharing. 3:50 they weren't easy to handle.

I wonder if all of Grave Digger's reliability issues weren't due to the engine being so far back, perhaps bad weight distribution affecting the entire driveline.

This is as old school as it gets! Good to see the early versions of the classic monsters trucks. Great night for Just Showin' Off. Alien was certainly different, and really competitive.

I wish I could buy a ticket to an event like this today. I don't mean they have be 80's monster trucks etc. (although they are awesome). I mean I would love to attend a stadium event that had monster trucks, truck & tractor pulling, exhibition runs, & maybe even a mud bog.

That “Coors” King Krunch is an obs rather than the usual squarebody, anyone know what the deal is? The wheelbase looks longer and It’s also not an extended cab obs like the second Krunch is.

The variety within this event is as good as it gets. It made an arena show feel like a huge deal. This is a tractor/truck pull show with additional bonuses of monster trucks/tanks & much more. Imagine going to a pull these days & getting all this extra! Maybe instead of so many people complaining about Monster Jam, we could bring pulls back up to this level again (with variety). Regardless, thanks for the sharing!

The good thing about Army Armstrong and Scott Douglas is that they are remembered not only for their iconic voice over but their mostly calm and collective mannerisms. Dave Grimm on the other hand was just ANNOYING as hell and always shouting at the top of his voice and I'm glad they kept him out of future monster truck racing events because he just didn't know when to shut up.
@travisdelafuente11509 ай бұрын
Here's my personal theory- If Jim Kramer drove Bigfoot for much of the 1988 season all the way up to Louisville Freedom Hall for the crowning of the 1988 championship, I think he would have been ahead of Rod Litzau in USA-1 and would have been the first monster truck national champion. I'm not sure why Rich Hooser was Bob Chandler's choice for racing the truck for much of this season since he was obviously not as good as Kramer. Just think of how many victories Jim got in the 1987 season and maybe history would have been different.

I've always wondered, since I saw this event, why Mad Dog had that flat black hood midway through the season through the end at the Hoosier Dome. Was it a primer coat from some earlier damage it sustained and Jon just didn't have time to repaint it because he was on the road so much between TNT and Hart Productions? Anyone know? Now, later he occasionally ran it with no hood, which I would've preferred between the two.
