I’ve been charged with aggravated menacing, my lawyer isn’t very insightful on my specific case he just keeps reassuring me he’s got it taken care of and today my pre trial was rescheduled. I’ve plead not guilty and currently waiting to see how it plays out. I’m just not even sure what to think at this point. I’m already being represented but is there anyone I can call just to get a better understanding of my case specifically??

Ohio is a convoluted mess with their firearm laws. I can open carry but I can't have a gun loaded and accessible in the vehicle. That defeats the whole point of owning a firearm. So basically you can walk around your house and that's it. So the law says gun and magazine to be 2 separate compartments not accessible to anyone inside the vehicle. Well trucks, suvs, vans, campers and minivans can't be done. So any cop or prosecutor can nail you. Then there's the whole knife laws. Which is just as convoluted as the gun laws. Open carry but it can't be considered a weapon. Wtf do you think a knife is? If a cop tricks you into saying your 6 inch fighting knife if for anything other than opening amazon deliveries you're being arrested

I was pulled over for speeding, and informed the officer that I had the firearm in the vehicle promptly. I did not discharge my firearm but was transporting it unlawfully, by having it and the ammunition separated but accessible from withing the vehicle. They are trying to charge me with a 4th degree Felony but your video states that is mainly for discharging the firearm. Could you provide clarity as to why it is a 4th degree felony and not a 4th degree misdemeanor?

All about the money.I'm going through this process right now in Northeast Ohio and my attorney got my record sealed In Cuyahoga County rather quickly and with no objections from a prosecutor.The other county where I live ,we'll refer to it as Mayberry, is another story.Here,the prosecutor is objecting to my sealing of a record involving a 30 year old low level drug case.So,my attorney won me a video court hearing scheduled for Weds. Oct. 21,2020 in this county.Now,I find out if a judge will grant me my request to have the record sealed.God I hope so.This has cost me so much money already.I didnt kill anyone,and I'm so tired of having this one low level felony haunting me for the last 30 years of my life,ensuring me that I could never get the best of jobs.It sucks!!

The driver intervention program does not necessarily remove points from your driving record. The program would have to include a 'remedial driving program'. I did everything that was required of me for my OVI then paid 475 bucks for reinstatement. Three months later, when I went to get my DL renewed (today), I was told my license is still suspended and I have to do more steps to get it lifted. Ohio sucks ! I live in KY but got the OVI in OH. I was not informed of anything else to do after I paid the fee for reinstatement !!!!

It's really very simple. Don't drive if you've been drinking alcohol. If do do drink and drive then you dang well should be arrested and put in jail. The hell with your problems after the fact...you put every other driver and their passengers on the road that night lives in jeopardy.

i previously read about this topic in the law library. it further indicates the speculation 'that this sickening state is all money induced! I've constantly thought about this matter. I've tried to make reason out of it beneficial for "both the court and individual "s" . I must say it's pretty convenient for both parties.. until the device malfunctions and your further sanctioned and punished even further! I need to study law and help those in need for these very occurring instances. freedoms always have a price sadly.

Typically, you do not have to show proof of completing court orders to reinstate your license. The reinstatement requirements will be listed on a notice sent to you by the Ohio B.M.V.
