This is a great conversion. So much better than the weird SNES version. Like you, I only wish they had used the built-in hardware of the SEGA-CD for the sprite scaling.

On my CD-i . I didn't even know CD-i emu could play Digital Video CD-i games, only bog standard CD-i games

I used to watch this a lot when I was a kid for gaming news since there were no internet back then and magazines are pretty scarce for such publication only when I reached college I got my hands on the Tips & Tricks magazines. There's another show with similar style in the US I was hoping someone would know the name as I was unsuccessful in identifying the program. I vaguely remember something like "Game Stop"

It was all thanks to the Saturn's VDP2 chip which had alpha support built into the hardware, shame it only supported 2D alpha effects

Couldn't agree more. SEGA Japan should have used the Mega CD ASIC chip for various SEGA Arcade ports and the Mega CD would have sold so much better IMO

8:28 Ah, so I'm NOT the only one that disliked that there was no HOP in Mario Kart Double Dash, I mean you can still drift/do mini-turbos, you just don't HOP. (Like in EVERY other Mario Kart game)
