So these are +20 offset? And a +1 offset would be slightly more concave and slightly stick out further?

So in my area, there’s three airports that are in the general vicinity so they set me at a max altitude of 384’. So not thinking about it (obviously this was my fault because I should’ve lifted the max altitude on my controller) I set myself up for disaster. The point of my flight was to just cruise around the peaks and tried to hit some of the fog just kind of see how it would look. But as I was trying to Bridge one of my first major peaks, I hit my maximum altitude.

You don't get a cool song today about owning and driving a TESLA. I found my '68 Plymouth Sport Fury, 8 years ago in Phoenix and drove back to California, drove the car fast at night (okay, slow down, oh, there's that speedometer needle, I thought I broke it) but drove the speed limit during the daytime to get all the "oohs & ahhs," leaning out the window (Hey, watch out, you'll fall out there!) cell phone picture-taking and thumbs-ups from other people driving the same highway route. I also have a '65 Sport Fury. ...and 4 other early '60s MOPARs too.

I love this! there’s something about traveling to go get an older vehicle that just trumps the purchasing of all brand new cars. in that ride is always going to be an adventure and a definite break-in to you learning a whole lot about that car real fast. So sweet!

My toss up was Powermatic, Laguna and Jet all intended on the Powermatic. When I went to Rockler and saw the difference with the Jet vs Laguna, I was sold on Jet. Mainly because the Powermatic needed a riser and Jet was one piece. Bought and set it up this weekend and love it.

What would you say the pros are about older vs new trucks?
@CharlesJamesdesign10 ай бұрын
@mannyrodriguez8926 I really like this question. I will be making a video about this because of you. But the short answer is. I have an affinity for old vehicles because of the smell of the gas and the less noticed details that they behold. Older vehicles are not as reliable, but they make up for it in their personality. I can hear what my old car is telling me by sound and the feeling I get when I drive them down the road. You can tell when they are happy or when they are not, I can tell exactly what they are in need of as well. With a simple phone call to Autozone / O'Reillys. / Napa, I can just about order the part and bandage them up in a matter of a day because most parts back in the day were more universal. Now with new cars you get more frills less visual more comforts with a whole lot more plastic molded parts. I feel that interiors are less designed and are not as fancy details as old vehicles interiors. I do enjoy many of these frills like heated seats, heated steering wheels, traction control, ASB, power steering and actually good stereo systems with Bluetooth connectivity. Now these cars are less personal when it comes the the connection you have when driving them. My Toyota Tundra had radar speed control detection which has me almost self driving half the time. The cab is so air tight I can barley hear the engine, so I have less ability to understand what the engine is in need of. It tells me through lights and a more elaborate computerized communication style less feel. The things that I do like about the new vehicles is that they are very responsive, they drive tighter and I feel like you can drive them harder. Our Rivian take off the line faster than anything that I have ever driven. But adding electric into this conversation is slightly off topic and will be another good idea for another video. But to conclude this Old vs New vehicles Conversation there is truly no defined winner here. Vintage is and will always be hip and will always hold a nostalgic quality that you will never have when you get something new but are extreme gas guzzlers. While new vehicles have there own stigma, as being very expensive, have a lack of style and high rate of deprecation. But most of which are proving to have an astoundingly low fuel consumption rate and ton of features that might out weight less added details through out the vehicle. I really think this answer is within the driver and what there needs lay. The stigmas associated with new versus old cars are deeply intertwined with individual preferences, priorities, and needs of that said driver. Thank you for you question and even more for you watching my content. Thanks Friend

How does the saw do with the 3/4" Resaw King, are you still happy with it? I have the same saw, and want to be sure it will handle the 3/4" before I buy one (they also offer a 1/2"). Did you feel like you were 'maxing out' the saw's tension on the 3/4"? I notice that the tension indicator looked 'beyond' the 3/4" blade line. Thanks for doing this review. Liked and subscribed.
@CharlesJamesdesign2 жыл бұрын
Hey Fred, I still like my saw and it's been doing everything I have asked of it. I did but a 115 blade and I noticed it was a little tight, I was not sure if the tensioner slipped off the post when I was filming or not but I was syncing the blade was tight enough. I am very particular with my tools and I always make sure the everything is working properly be for I use anything in my shop. I have both 3/4" that you saw and the 1/2" plus a few others now. I use them all for different materials thicknesses and densities. I am extremely happy with the 3/4" carbide resaw king it cuts like a dream.

Not long after that, my older brother bought a '67 Barracuda coupe from a neighbor and added a second '67 Barracuda later after he got married. My other brother bought a new bright yellow '72 Duster 340. Mopar is in my blood and will never change. Right now I have an '09 Challenger RT, '71 Challenger convertible, and a 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk.

Well I would never discount your experience.. But I had an encounter with them myself and was quite surprised with service. I called in about a power issue that I was experiencing. I thought that the machine was getting bogged down and was stalling during a cut. I was thinking I over used the motor and it was on it's way out. I check the fence to make sure that it was perfectly parallel to the blade and everything involved with alignment of the machine, while also purchasing all new saw blades. I wrote into support and waited for a response. I received a phone call a few hours later, all while I had already signed off Laguna and shopping for another table saw ( Harvey or SawStop). They were very nice and wanted to know what I was experiencing first hand. She gave me a few steps and I shot a few videos for her so that she could see the problem. In about 10min they had figured out that the belt on my motor was slightly loose and was in need of being tightened. Hung up with the tech and emailed them back to tell them that my issue had been solved. So in my experience they totally took care of my issue. I am sorry that you had a not so pleasant experience with them. Carlos Thank you for commenting, and watching my channel friend!

Thanks for the informative video! Thinking of laguna vs jet as well. How’s the bandsaw holding up after a year? Any changes? Any new insights?
@CharlesJamesdesign2 жыл бұрын
John, besides changing blades and having to clean out the bottom of the base that was full of saw dust. Not much has changes from my views of the table. I did really understand the hose system in the internals and think it could use some improvement. The table top is amazingly large and I feel mostly comfortable cutting anything but a 4x8 sheet. As they are really sketchy solo manning. Motor + Construction are holding up really well and the melamine out-feed table is slightly scratched from used but holding up. Overall a great buy, and still working as anticipated. I will make a full in-depth video per your question.
