God Bless you for producing such a precise instructional video that’s 45 SECONDS! Not minutes like most all I found. Excellent job! 🏆🥇👌🏼

So for the regeneration part it’s clockwise for first tank and also on the second time for the second tank as well?

I know it's 2 months late but what did you end up doing?

@@ccalvinau shoot i wish i remembered exactly, but ill tell you from the best of what memory will serve. (Keep in mind this is only a necessary step of you ran completely out of salt pellets) I don’t think this particular video touches on it but you DON’T do the regen right away, you have to wait. So i added the salt then waited like 4-6 hours. Did the first regen that took like 20ish minutes, then put it back in regen again. Our cold water was soft petty much right away after both regenerations but the hot water took several days before it felt anything like the cold water, I’m guessing the water heater just took a long time to flush the hard water completely. I downloaded the owner’s manual pdf online to make sure i didn’t mess it up.

I had a complete system installed and was not instructed to regenerate the system using the phillips head screwdriver. Is this required for the newest Kinetico systems?
@PurposelyCryptic
@PurposelyCryptic Жыл бұрын
I'm not an expert and this is 5 months late, but from what I've read doing research on my Kinetico, this process is only necessary when you accidentally let your brine tank get completely empty - otherwise, the system automatically regenerates as necessary. You've probably (hopefully) already discovered this information, but I figured I'd post it anyway for anyone else looking for an answer to the same question.

Any trained plumber would lubricate the o-rings on the cartridges. Kinetico also says the system must be sanitized with bleach following their 33 step instructions.

Thank you for your comment. The beauty of the K5 is that you do not need a trained plumber to change your filters! There is no need to lubricate the disposable cartridge head, Kinetico replacement filters come in a protective wrap and are ready for easy installation by homeowners. It is not recommendable to deviate from the manufactures installation instructions, which are located under the label on the RO filter cartridges. The Kinetico sanitization kit is separate and will be explained in another video.

@@kineticobykwatertreatment3345 How often You have to sanitize system?

@@dumnylach great question. The manufacturer currently recoomends that you sanitize the system when you change the filters. When you choose to sanatize your system, it is important to fill and drain the tank twice!

We followed your directions as well as the directions of the guy at our local water shop. The old cartridges will not come out. We turned each the way we are suppose to. They do not pull down or out even. When they were installed a year ago the installer said we were his first for installing this under sink system. Don’t think he knew what he was doing. Please help. Thank you.

Double check that the water feeding the system is off, and that you have fully depressurize it. The cartridges are quick disconnect and should easily snap in and out; you will not be able to pull them down or out until the filter is unsnapped. I hope this helps! If you need more help you can enter your zip code into Kinetico's website and find your nearest authorized Kinetico dealer: www.kinetico.com/find-your-water-expert/
