I’m a surfer from a Newport Beach, California where Duke saved all those lives in 1925. Corona Del Mar was considered one of the best waves in California in the 1920’s and early 30’s before the breakwater was built at the harbor entrance. Duke was the first person to ever surf in Newport Beach in 1912 when he was on his way to Stockholm for the Olympics. He used to shape boards on the beach for his local surf buddies in the 1920’s.

We've decided to honor Duke with naming one of our rooms "The Duke" in his honor in beautiful Bali Indonesia to carry his spirit of surfing throughout Indonesia. Legends Bali Resorts is located in Bingin Beach, Bali and we've love to do more to support his spirit!

Hi is not a 50th state ambassador. His a native Hawaiian. Like here in America the continent, we Hispanics, like you call us, aren’t immigrants.

I can only imagine how many Hawaiians would've of thrived in sports in this day and age if disease didn't run rampant and cause a major depletion on native Hawaiians. It's ok, we still have other polynesians doing their thing in sports.

What does it matter if he was “pure bred?” It’s like they are talking about dogs at a dog show. He was the Duke, a great human being.

C N Fucking idiot, you compared it to dogs. Obviously you don’t know your fucking history and/ or uncultured. There aren’t as many indigenous people in their respective lands due to killing them off, diseases that was brought to them from explorers and so forth.
