I wish you showed us the wire splice man.
@JuanLopez-nt1dh15 күн бұрын
You’re right, I should’ve shown how to splice the two wires, but it is easy enough with a little common sense. After gaining access to the passenger side visor wiring, simply connect two small gauge wires to the existing pair of wires that provide power to the passenger side visor. Measure to ensure that the wires are long enough to reach the driver’s side visor attachment area so that you can connect the provided visor wires accordingly. Tuck the wires and connectors in the visor hinge cavity and replace the trim. You can’t go wrong with only two wires. I hope this helps.

Thank you for this great video. I owned this watch and have had it before I met my wife. Still ticking but the date hands keeps falling out and I don't know how to pull out the stem to take out the movement to put them back in. Alarm stem as well in the way, but the jeweler has done it for me twice. I change the battery and get it going but the stem removal seems a bit for me. Any ideas?
@JuanLopez-nt1dh3 ай бұрын
Hello eightiesgod (love the handle 😊), I had the same issue once years ago with one of the hands falling off and I sent it to the Seiko repair center in Mahwah New Jersey for repairs. The hands have never fallen off again. I also had an issue with the buttons sticking and I used “3 in 1” oil to free them up. I applied a tiny amount using a toothpick being carefull not to get it on the movement or bezel. Then using a tiny screw driver I pushed the button out and in repeatedly, adding more oil, until it moved freely. I don’t know how they get those buttons out and how they replace the seals to keep it waterproof? Good luck with your watch and I hope you get it fixed.

Yeah, I couldn’t find anything else out there so I made a quick video. Afterwards, I found that the repair manual does show how to do the adjustment but not many people have the shop manual. Replacing the parking brake pads are something else but they shouldn’t wear out unless you drive the car with the parking brake on. Typically just adjust the tension on the cable and you should be fine. I hope this helps!

Never, never ever pull the clutch in to start a Harley. It should be in neutral prior to starting. Starting a Harley Davidson motor and pulling in the clutch will cause clutch, primary and compensator damage. Not a good video.
@JuanLopez-nt1dh5 ай бұрын
If you listen closely, I say “Pull the Choke.” I agree, never pull the clutch when starting your ride. I could have mentioned to verify that your tranny is in Neutral.
@brandon351smith4 ай бұрын
@@JuanLopez-nt1dh I think he was saying that because in the video you can clearly see your left hand pulling the clutch in prior to pressing the start button....To be fair I don't think it makes any difference on this particular bike. Older stuff? Maybe.This bike has neutral safety switches. I don't see why a manufacturer would put a safety switch on the clutch lever that ALLOWS you the starter to turn over (while the year lever is in gear) if it was going to damage anything. Think about it ...if the bike is working properly, the neutral safety switch won't allow the starter to turn whilev the transmission in gear because the bike will lurch. However , once you press in the clutch, it's designed to start even if it's in gear . Why design a button that bypasses the neutral safety switch on the clutch if it were to damage it? I would think it would be designed so it would not start, irregardless of the clutch being pressed in or not. Some antique machines will try to start in gear and roll...sure. But a 1993 (as long as it hasn't been tampered with) isn't one of those machines.
@JuanLopez-nt1dh4 ай бұрын
Haha! You’re right! I did pull the freakin clutch when I hit the start button…damn!…alright, I’ll own up to it and allow me to explain. I had just rolled my bike out of the garage and I couldn’t remember if I had left it in first to prevent it from rolling (yeah another thing folks might complain about). Anyway, making the video was happening very quickly and as a safety precaution (so that the bike wouldn’t lurch, as many experienced bikers have experienced when starting a bike not in neutral) , as a reflex I pulled the clutch and immediately released it as I noticed the green neutral indicator light on. Afterwards, I thought that I should have mentioned to make sure that the bike’s transmission gear is in the neutral position. Had I made the video while sitting on my bike I would have instinctively verified that, and simply pressed the start button and nothing else. Ok, next time I’ll use the following script: Make sure that fuel valve on the left side of the tank is in the open position to allow Good fuel to flow into the carburetor. Enable/disable kill switch if you have one, make sure tranny is in neutral gear(verify Green indicator light on tank on) after inserting the key in the tank selecter switch to rotate it to start/run position, on the right handle bar put switch in run position, pull choke on lower left side of tank, crank throttle twice, push start button on right handle bar. If the battery is not dead the bike should start. If the bike doesn’t start, proceed to troubleshoot. Thanks for the comments!
@brandon351smith4 ай бұрын
@@JuanLopez-nt1dh thanks for the reply! I'll have to make sure, but I'm relatively certain you should be just fine pulling the clutch in when cranking. I really don't think it would harm anything on the motorcycle you own, or any bike that new.

Lol, the aloe pups could be due to the soil, but if anything, that’s just how they are! Most aloes will grow like mad if they’re happy, and after rain, especially. Here in SoCal (I’m in San Diego), they reliably bloom and pup year-round-but especially in winter, I’ve noticed. Never knew that it was a real thing until I read an article about it! I guess because they’re from South Africa and have opposite seasons to us in the northern hemisphere, they’ll go crazy at certain times…

I have a 90 that was truly painful ruff idle issue. The intake had an oil leak at the back of the manifold. So, since it was apart, changed out the egr, which was nasty. Idac value, thermostat, O2 sensor was ok. After all that the car would show a cede 32 after it got warm. Turns out the Y fitting was cracked going to the EGR vacuum sensor. Other idem was a bad EGR from Delco. wouldn't hold Vac. So even new parts should be checked before install. Had a smoke check done and found the leak. You wouldn't have seen that, and leaks can be sneaky suckers. Runs good now. Thanks for your sharing your 85.
