The movie is good but the background music/sound is louder than the talking. BAD indulgent sound people not thinking of the listeners. The sound is cluttered, echoey and competes with the vocals.

Such a cool concept, makes me wish I had kept up my running. I always loved the wacky times at meets and especially the woods romping, the spirit is alive!

Did I see Phil receive a sun umbrella before the end of the lap? That's a DQ

It was handed to him after the finish line. There is a 200m gap between the finish line and the start line at Herdy's

I have got the same type of terrain (a bit of tar most non technical gravel) what shoes do you recommend? I am hesitating between hoka challenger and just straight up daily road trainer like my Brooks glycerin or NB 1080v11. What do you reckon?
@DiggerPrints0814 Жыл бұрын
I'm by no means an ultra runner, even calling myself a runner would be wrong. But in this particular race, would a game plan be to run each lap from the get go in around 55 minutes so it's just constant running and no break (Common theme seems to be the breaks being the killer)
@ewan_running Жыл бұрын
Personal preference really. It depends on what you want to do. Friend of mine has 2 x 100mi BYU performances running 32-40min yards (loops); I prefer to average more like 50min, with a slightly quicker one where needed.

Great race coverage, but it's the interview/voice-over that matters. I felt like I understand a little more about the people who take on these races.

Wonderful video. Unless Birdy has some changed rules, the only thing missing (IMHO) is the fact that Michael HAD to finish the 40th lap. If he had failed, then there would be no winner, there is no sharing of victory in backyard ultra... That one lap is so important!

They don't measure the time, right? So, why not just go as slow and relaxed as possible?
@martijnquist97772 жыл бұрын
Max 1 hour for 1 lap
@DisDatK93 ай бұрын
They don't measure the time to cover a certain distance other than the 4.2 miles every hour. You can go as slow as you want, but if you don't get in within the hour you're out. And you have to think, if you go so slowly that you get in at 58 minutes then you have to immediately line up to go again.
