Sounds like technology is taking over a ancient field craft once again. Been a falconer for 38 years never used telemetry sometimes not even bell's and call it what you like but I've always come home with my bird's.

time to remove this video it serves no purpose other than to educate those who capture wild birds for killing or selling into a life of captivity,

People saying he's catching fish downstream but normally fish swim upstream so he casts it upstream and let's it come downstream were a fish will normally be swimming upstream so it bumps into the bait on way up ?

Excellent video - thank you. Question: were those spine shots? Seems the hinds & calves went down faster than with a heart shot. What do you recommend?

Been using this method for over 40 years! Brilliant on seatrout and salmon and a killer on Dover sole and bass!

Disgraceful, John Muir Trust should hang their heads in shame. Affordable housing in Assynt will never happen, a tourism hub... what next...Alan Mccombes needs to go and spend a full 12 months living and working in Assynt these bold statements and promises will never see daylight. Still waiting for the outcome of who was responsible for the badly shot deer on the estate who suffered for days with a jaw injury until a local stalker put him out of his misery? Shocking behaviour and no long term vision for this area!

that’s cool. Where I am at in Gulf Coast USA, we have blue crabs that we use as bait on massive black drums, redfish/red drum, sheepsheads, et cetera. Some people peel them like that, but most just tear the legs and pinchers off, and put the hook through the leg hole and shell. For those people using that method, it saves the step of wrapping with elastic as the blue crab shell is strong enough to hold together with the hook through it. Anyways again, great short tutorial on bait preparation!

very cool! Texan American here, stumbled across this while trying learn what a moor is. But the internet only wants to give search results on the Moorish peoples😂. Haha anyways, I am not a land manager but have hunted and know of land management practices. Makes perfect sense that they are using “controlled burns” in other parts of the world. Controlled burns are a big thing in Texas and very effective, as they have been for y’all also it seems. But did I understand him to say that there is some sort of controversy with doing a beneficial controlled burn in your country? Was not sure but thought I was understanding him correctly. At any rate, I suppose it would be unfortunately not terribly surprising that media and others would try and controversialize a highly beneficial land management practice that they are unaware of the full details of. Anyways, again, very interesting video! Glad to see! And side note, always fun to listen to the different accents as an, “American English” speaker.

Used a tay rigged kinkuro in May this year on the Tay and was very lucky to hook into 14lb seal marked fresh run springer. Then just 2 weeks ago took another fish on the same lure. Its a great lure.

Hopefully soon, everyone will be using ' NATURAL STONES ' * as fishing weights/sinkers as opposed to LEAD. Especially in sacrificial sinker rigs. ( * Suitable stone, drilled with a swivel/clip resined into a hole)
