Lived in Downers Grove from 1981 to 1994. It really was a good place to grow up. It disappoints me how much has changed downtown. I know things change but hate that so much has.

Read Mr. Johnson's obit in the Sun-Times which had a link to this documentary which brought back many fond memories. Tivoli was where I saw my first movies back in the 60s like Babes in Toyland, The Time Machine, Journey to the Center of the Earth. Particularly remember Dr. No and Ursula Andress. Tivoli was also where I saw the Dave Clark Five movie and saw them in person afterward when they stopped in for about 3 minutes, waved to the screaming crowd, and then departed for the next theatre in LaGrange. Many good times and many good memories. RIP Mr. Johnson.

My Grandfather helped work on the Electrical wiring for the Tivoli Theatre and received 2 free passes for the opening, unfortunately he lost the passes they would have been a Great Keepsake.

Plans for distribution or Posting? I'd love to see it. Unfortunately I moved from Downers a long time ago and live on the other side of the country now.

Thanks for your comment. We will have more to say on this topic after the premier on May 2. We have not finalized the plans as of yet. By the way did you used to live on Fairmount Ave?

Thanks to the society for publishing this film on KZbin. It is fascinating, & just what I needed to understand the background of Dr. Breasted.
