That would be Meco Menardo, known simply as Meco. He got famous making a disco version of the Star Wars theme song, so he tried doing the same with a bunch of movie music. Thanks for listening!

@@SMXAudioWorkshop cheers mate, so funky, that beat and I love how he messes with the notes too, great stuff. I must have heard the StarWars mix but never got it.. I'll be on the lookout for both now. Your Thing production, so good also, really loved it, keep going.. 💪😊

A few months ago I made a retro "Zootopia" read-along book-and-record cover. Sure, even though a read-along book and CD exists of the film, I decided to go the retro route, to resemble many of those late 70s and early 80s Disney book-and-audio read-alongs... ic.pics.livejournal.com/wile_e2005/16186524/392169/392169_original.jpg

Thanks! I figured, since it was a Disney movie, it should have the appearance of a full-blown Disney read-along, complete with the Disneyland "rainbow" label on the record (I remember the "E.T." read-along had the Disneyland label as well.)

Why the crap was this partially marketed to kids!?
@SMXAudioWorkshop8 жыл бұрын
Despite my every attempt to mimic the style of the 1980s read-along record books, this is an original production from 2014. Some friends and I got together and recorded all the parts and I used the original score and some sound effects from the film. This was not intended for children and was never released for their consumption. In that light, I hope you enjoyed it!

That's pretty cool! I can tell it's based off the early '80s Disney read-along adaptations of popular movies of the time (same chime sound, too.) It'd also be pretty authentic if you made a physical copy with the sound on an audio cassette! (These read-alongs were released on both cassette and record.)
