Busta would sit up on the bathroom counter and watch me shave in the morning. One day, he looked into the mirror, noted his image, and then looked at my reflection. That was when he realized that we were different. Up to that point, he may have believed that I was another cat or that he was a small human. I think he was disappointed.

This would have been interesting, but the text-to-speech AI voice really ruined it, it was too distracting. Get a real person to say your lines, please, it makes for a much better viewer experience even if the person speaking isn't a great speaker..

Cats can also see through different dimensions. They can see beyond the Astro realm whereas dogs cannot.

Female cats 'bring gifts' too. They actually hunt more than males. Female cats also bunt, knead you with their claws, follow you, show their bellies, chatter at birds, brush against your legs, bring toys, meow for attention, sleep on your clothes, groom you and do tail quivers. So, in other words, none of these behaviours are unique to male cats at all. The entire video is nonsense.
@windamor151716 сағат бұрын
These behaviors are not only shown by male cats. I have always had cats and the females do the same.

Voice sounds ai generated. Plus those "only male cat" facts are bullshit. They are gender independent cat behaviours. And yes, don't feed your cat tomatoes, see the comment above

My cat, Harry Potter is a manic he had taken my blinds down & other things he’s destroyed in my rental apartment, things which I have to pay to fix. I’ve even tried squirting him with the water bottle but he still does it. This is my first mixed breed cat, I’ve always had Persian w& they were very calm. Harry Potter is an idiot at times. I may have to call Jackson the cat guy.

Nice video and now I know why my boy does all those things in the video. One thing I disliked is the gal feeding her cat a tomato. Cats and even dogs are not suppose have tomatoes just like chocolate. One evening I was eating some tomato soup and my cat jumped on my lap and wanted some soup. I gave him some. A few days later I had learned cats and dogs are not to consume tomatoes. Just like chocolate. They can't have that either. I had a dog who died from chocolate. But any kind of chocolate such as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, etc. I was on a chat website years ago and a young teen said she gives her dog chocolate all the time. I said well, one of these days you may not have that precious puppy dog. I get so frustrated with people that don't learn how to take care of their pets. Before I even got a dog I would study on the breed to see what their needs are. Every time they wanted me to share my food with them I would research how a certain food can or cannot affect a dog. Cats are not to have milk. Cats become lactose intolerant when they get into young adulthood. Just food for thought for everyone,.

I got 2 cats from the same litter, born a year ago. the boy isn't very smart, but the girl always impresses me with her intelligence. She can open lids very quickly. She taught herself fetch. when I give them a new treat puzzle. The girl will watch her brother try it for a while and he will just bat it around randomly and sometimes treats fall out, but he doesn't really learn anything. eventually, the girl will have seen enough and she will walk over and knock the treats out immediately. Her brother eventually learns to do it better than before after some days, but he'll forget when I put the toy away for a while and then bring it back out again. the girl remembers.

If humans respect cats and allow them to be cats, not little humans, most cats will show great intelligence in many difference aspects of their lives. They are all individuals so their traits of "genius" intelligence will be different. But most have them.

We have several farm cats. It’s been cold so they’ve been hanging indoors (we have a doggie door for them). We put them on a feeding schedule, same time everyday, as well as snack time. We give them a bit of soft food at their dinner time, and they recognize the words ‘dinner time and snack time’. One of my older cats understands when we ‘go to the store’ as opposed to ‘going to work’, she also knows our names, so I can say ‘(name) went to the store to get new catfood’, and ‘(name) is home, referring to her car pulled up, and say she bought new catfood…in which then EVERY cat understood, and were waiting in the kitchen, meowing to sample the new food, even though it wasn’t dinner time or snack time. Each cat got a small handful, they love fresh catfood, especially brand named stuff. But we understand them as they understand us. Once in a while, a cat will come to me looking for someone, will meow, I will tell them they are upstairs or at work, or outside…they always understand and will go to them. They go to the window and count cars to see who is home. They are all well behaved and very friendly, weird because they are all part feral. They get up at 4 am and like to play, I have boxes, and a variety of cat toys for them so they play downstairs and don’t wake everyone up. I keep dry cheap catfood in their dishes so they don’t starve but they don’t overeat either. Yes, cats are intelligent..my son yelled at one of them last year, the next morning he found poop in his shoes. lol.

And they are very sensitive and do not like to be yelled at! As neither do humans generally "enjoy" it. Sounds like you live with Very Smart cats!

I can relate to cats possessing intelligence . . . I had a domestic short-hair that reacted to his name and had ways to communicate to me. One habit he had was when I'd be conversing with a neighbor in my front yard, whereupon my cat would come over, sit, and look up at us with an expression as to politely ask: "May I join you in this conversation?"

We had a very smart tuxedo named Domino. He taught all of the other cats in the house to "Lassie" us if they needed something! He's been in kitty heaven for years now. But the other cats remember the "Lassie" behavior. He also could solve multi-step problems. I used to keep the cat cookies in a drawer. He figured out if he opened the cabinet beneath the drawer, and then pushed the drawer from underneath, he could then hop on the counter and grab the bag of cookies to eat and share with the other cats!
@herrfinke12 күн бұрын
What is "Lassie Behavior"? Getting you to follow them? Or put their paw up?
@absyntheew7075Күн бұрын
@herrfinke1 No, it's kinda like Lassie( The dog show) She'd bark at her owner( Timmy!?) and lead him to a (dramatic) situation that only people could solve. Our cats know if they want something, like, for example, The Christmas tree lights turned on, they get our attention and go to the item they want turned on, and we will do it for them!

My girl Scout, 32 weeks old, passed the mirror test, knows my schedule and when I had brought her home at 24 weeks, she scoped out the house. She only hid, at first, when my husband was around. She likes to watch videos and will tap the screen to play a video. She listens intently, and does learn from trial and error, yet she is feisty.

My current cat will stalk me in the house and can sneak up on me from behind by going through rooms to sneak up on me without me knowing. I had a cat several years ago that would open lower cupboard doors and go in to see what was in them. He would come out if he didn’t find anything interesting. After doing this two or three times I would tell him to close the door and show him. After that he would always close the cupboard door when he was done. He did a lot of other amazing things too. I still miss him.
