A lot of the bosses are unforgiving this expansion.

This was such a great video. Been running with the npcs on this. I have died as summoner so many times. Your calm voice and calling out mechanics was a great help. I will watch this again to make sure I understand them better. I liked and subscribed. Thank you again.

I'm fairly sure the stack and gaze is look away from the player who has it, not the boss. Therefore if you get it on you, position so the raid can stand between yourself and the boss and keep attacking

Would you still recommend the game?

Based upon what I know of the game now, I don't think so. While it is still being updated, you hit a major wall at level 99 that will take months to get by, even using the cash shop.

THANK YOU. I ran Snowcloak yesterday as a new tank and I saw another guide. (old one) and said "remember to ignore the Spriggans." and my healer kindly told me the dungeon has been updated. This is the only updated NEW one I can find. Very useful.

the original Fenrir fight wasn't harder to do, it's just about knowing that on every second set of icicles he did the aoe. but explaining to newbies mid-fight why not to destroy the snowballs in the Yeti fight truly was a pain. and then there were the trolls that deliberately kept punting them...
@SentientDessert Жыл бұрын
It may not have been harder for you. My experience was many newbies through years of running it, even when told what to do, would have difficulties.

Got a question (I never do this raid, i'm new in the game), if you tank the last boss a little away from the center, that will give a little more time before cast (Ancient Flare) cuz the boss will run to the center before start casting, is that give more time for everybody go to their platforms?? or it doesn't matter to keep it in the center and just move when he start the cast?? (sorry for my bad english xD) nice guide btw is amazing.
@SentientDessert2 жыл бұрын
That is exactly why. Tanking the boss closer to the B group's platform (with A left, B center, and C right) will give everyone a couple extra seconds to run to their platforms.

How did you unlock this?
@SentientDessert2 жыл бұрын
You first have to complete the main storyline quest The Ultimate Weapon. This is a level 50 quest. Then you'll need to head to the Waking Sands, there are two duties to complete before this one, Titan Hard and Garuda Hard. They're part of a quest chain that are picked up in Waking Sands. Urianger and Thancred being the quest givers in Waking Sands. Hope this helps.

This was super helpful. I've been wanting to get into raids, but doing this the first time (along with Syrcus Tower and World of Darkness) made me very hesitant to do so because of how many times I died. Couldn't find a good guide at the time, but decided to check again. I feel more confident to try again now. Thank you!

A new raid recently was added, and I died a LOT. Nothing wrong with dying. I'm glad you've found it helpful and will try again. If you've questions, please ask. Happy hunting.

it looks like the hammer pushes the AOE as well as the floor.

That it does. I was screwing up because I kept thinking I would move with the platform. The floor moves, the players do not.

I just wanted to say: thank you so much for all your videos, they've been beyond helpful. I started playing ffxiv very recently and there were plenty of points where I almost put the game down bc I have severe anxiety and the thought of letting my team down as a healer made running dungeons and trials unbearable. I'd watch other videos on them and it seemed too daunting - but whenever I'd watch your videos, the way you approached everything and the tips you gave throughout gave me enough courage to push through and keep going, even if mistakes happened (or I was shaking so much I could barely click the buttons haha), and learn from it all. I probably would've stopped at Haukke Manor, otherwise. so again: thank you! you're amazing!

I've found using the Trusts has been very helpful to go through the dungeon blind. I've found it a good way to learn mechanics. Sometimes the NPCs have a hard time though. Alphinaud kept dying on me in this one! I guess his little legs aren't quick enough.
@SentientDessert2 жыл бұрын
Oh definately. Trusts are a wonderful thing. They're actually expanding them in future patches too, allowing for lower level instances to be done.
