Its probably the cheapest option that has access to a pool. Can get for 3.5 m without a pool.

I sympathise with you mate, I hate the return trip, its getting close to 30 times now for me, but there is a great opportunity for work in Melbourne at the moment, my advice would be get your self a white card, you can do it online and its a good step into the construction industry which is booming, before to long your hopefully booking a one way ticket back to LOS 😁

For me I found getting involved with KZbin, I'm not a content provider but by joining the conversation I began to form friendships and meet many people, they have stayed in my house and I've stayed at their homes in Thailand, building friendships takes time, I returned to work in Australia nearly 2 years ago, but I'm back here every 2 months for a month at a time and make sure I continue to put the effort into those friendships when here

I agree and do join discussions on others YT. I am documenting my journey, also like to provide my perspective on life in Thai, I have been coming to this country since 2001, forming friendships built on trust for me has been challenging but not impossible.

FARANG in Thai means GUAVA, like the fruit. It is used colloquially in Thai to mean a WHITE FOREIGNER because the flesh of a guava is white.
@timmyg448 ай бұрын
I have heard it is also a Thai word that sounds similar to 'French'.
@kevinp81088 ай бұрын
@@timmyg44 - Heard that too but the French never colonized or had much of an influence on Thai culture.
@timmyg448 ай бұрын
@@kevinp8108 Kind of. Thailand didn't exist in 1900, just Siam, which included Laos, which was annexed by the French with the rest taking the name Thailand as late as 1940. If you look at what the French and the British did not colonize, you're left with Thailand, with the two colonizing powers agreeing not share a common border to avoid military conflicts. Thais, however, will tell you all kinds of myths and nonsense.

Thanks for your insight Billy! Was the heat difficult to get used too? I've heard over and over that the hot weather is hard to adjust too. I'm imagining weather like Hawaii if you've been. Is it hotter and more humid than Hawaii? Thanks!

Curious about your comment to be careful of other farang ("foreign"ers).. any specific advice you'd offer on that front, what details to keep particularly private, and apart from the obvious, why?
@okbilly18 ай бұрын
From my experience they can take up a lot of your energy, expressing their problems, just make sure it’s a give & take mate ship, you normally get a sense which people are authentic
