Huge bummer on the 57 motor. super disappointing. But you'll get it. Figured out, I'm sure. Mine leaks about quart of oil out of the rear main every 200 miles and leaks half a quart transmission oil in that same time too. And runs richer than bill gates because it needs a smaller carb.

Quite a nice age to retire:55. In the Netherlands we have to work till 67. While most of the hard labour workers don’t even get to that age. The are worn out at 55

I was finally able to retire last year, at age 66 and a half. I'm enjoying it immensely. I envy you your "early" retirement. I've been subscribed since the Little Man was quite little, and I really enjoy all the car stuff, and all the fun you and your family have. I'll be raising a glass of soda when you make the announcement that you're retiring (provided I'm still around). All the best to you and your family.

The Power stroke sounds fairly healthy. Too bad it has become a shelf , I know you gotta do what you have to . I have a self propelled shelf myself also in my back storage building. What you need is some snow lol .

Your fuel enrichment circuit(metering rods) will never open if you have a supercharger or a turbo sucking on the bottom of a Qjet, there are some videos on KZbin on how to boost reference one of these carbs. This is the reason you're getting spark knock.
