I picked up the AXG Legion in August. I actually love it. It’s definitely not as much recoil reduction as a true compensator, but I do like the versatility of the ports over a comp for a few reasons. It’s legal in all states, there aren’t any screws to back out, and you don’t have to worry about feeding issues or changing springs. That being said, my Radian Ramjets have all been flawless, are 50 state legal and stay timed automatically by default. I tend to shoot the Glock with Radian side by side with the 320 AXG Legion. They’re both phenomenal, but the feel of that AXG is top tier. As for every other 320, forget it that AXG is the way.

You can clearly see the ramjet comp is double the size of the M&P's port. Idk why M&P went with should a small port. Good idea, bad execution.

@@awokeone7997 I preferred the recoil on my hellcat pro comp over the M&p carry comp I shot them both side by side and rapid fire it was much less tiring on my wrist from muzzle flip. The way they did the M&p was just not my thing.

@Gunsfornewbies you can tell by the size of that small port plus I doubt they changed the weight on their recoil spring. I'm looking for a Spec series metal slide and have the barrel ported for the Lucky 7 by Monsoon Tactical.

@@the_chris_spark9133 for the Glock it’s a taran tactical Glock 45 magwell I had srbcustoms do a lip cut on the gun so it would fit flush and I beveled the inside for a smooth finish

Me personally, I think the grip angle really affects recoil control a lot more than people realize. There’s just something about that sharp grip angle that lends Glocks to be super flat shooting guns. Even my 43X is super flat, albeit snappy still.

I own the Metal Carry Comp and Glock 45 with Radian Ramjet Afterburner combo amd your conclusion is 100% accurate. The shooting experience between the two isnt even close which was a suprise. You would think the Chunk port would do more for the M&P but it doesn't.

@Gunsfornewbies I got your back. I own 3 M&Ps but I have to be honest. Shooting the Metal Comp after the Radian Ramjet, you make the mistake of loosening your grip slightly and the Metal Comp feels like it jumps out your hand. I know you can relate to what I'm saying.

Others have said as well that the slide is oversprung, and changing out the recoil spring for a lighter weight resolves alot of the snap. I agree however, I'll be keeping my custom g17c.

It’s really not much of a chunk port. They went super conservative. I picked up the metal for the looks. No way it can compare to the comp radian is pumping out. Maybe one day they will add M&P support

FYI, the Eotech screws that it comes with fit, it’s just the inside holes not the outside. Inside are dpp, Eotech, sig and vortex defender. Outside holes are trijicon and holosun.

They don't really reduce felt recoil in hand my its muzzle rise and a more repeatable and predictable return to zero.

@@rhodycars6058 the Glock just has a really good setup already to begin with but it does reduce the flip I agree and gives a nicer return to zero. I was testing it against some other guns I have for a future video and it did surprise me. I was a bit hard on it here because I expected more for the price but it’s actually a good upgrade.

@@Gunsfornewbies I recommend timing your splits with and without. Also I do feel with a dot it will help more than with irons but I don’t have data personally to back that up. I feel keeping the dot flat and always in view is a huge component to follow up shots.

@@rhodycars6058 a dot I feel helps more when you have a nice setup. when it recoils a little harder and it takes you time to re zero it’s hard I’ve shot better groups with irons but I guess it’s what you practice with. My staccato p with ignis ports and sro is crazy though the irons don’t come close.

That front strap was my gripe when I put it in my hand yesterday. Depending on how it shoots, I might end up going with the VP9. Thanks for making such a good video, especially for newbies like me

@@BraxChat I felt the vp 9 has a lot more muzzle rise but that could be me. The front strap is easy to fix but I don’t know why sig doesn’t just have a clasp or something to eliminate the wobble. Or better yet just make serrations and continue the metal all around so insert at all.

@@dt7037 all my round counts are all jumbled between all my guns but I haven’t ever had a malfunction ported or oem on this one about 500 rounds through. I have the carry comp as well that one only has about 250. Not that many rounds on either but I plan to keep shooting them just have some other things coming up before then.

@@dt7037 the M&p competitor shoots way nicer after you port it. The carry comp is better out of the box but they oversprung the gun to hell the slide is much harder to move than it should be. I would still go with competitor and port it personally. Not that much bigger, Same weight, and a lot more fun to shoot.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I’m gonna sell my Sig AXG Pro, just don’t shoot it well for whatever reason and never liked any Sig trigger. Looking for kind of a do all type gun but not for carry purposes, carry a Sig Macro comp with a Wilson combat xl frame and shoot a Canik Rival-S for competition that I ported the barrel but having feeding issues that I need to fix.

How the F@CK does the grip module affect flaking on the barrel or rust on FCU or slide of the firearm?!!! Sounds like a bunch of horse sh@t from the manufacturer to me. Looks like Sig has turned to sh@t and the writing is on the WALL!

Great video! The most underrated thing about the sig. was the Norsso slide - their stuff tops! I have a geo port setup. Leagues above anything oem. Then the x grip - gas pedal addition. The Glock never stood a chance and that’s a beautiful 19x - deserves some Norsso love too. Alls I’m saying 😊

@@kayelones I sent it to Vulcan machine werks for a black dlc job was like 75 bucks and well worth it. I bought a black trigger from eBay as well to get that black as well I didn’t want to wait as long as the dlc takes since I sent the barrel alone.

@@Gunsfornewbies I questioned it at my LGS because it came with the gold FCU pictured on the box. It was direct from Sig. Totally different finish from the one I had bought last year. Guys at the shop were baffled as well. They get new Sigs in weekly and none of them have that finish. Idk, but it works.

There were some issues with these eflex optics when they were initially released. (Footage is out there) Hopefully, they've made the improvements and corrected them.I like the look and did consider it, but I'm not sure about their durability. Might give them a second look. IDK.

I have the Hellcat RDP-I put in the MCarbo trigger kit and titanium firing pin kit....I absolutely love the RDP. I love it so much that I bought the standard hellcat barrel just so i can go ultra concealed with a 10/13 rnd mags or put in a 15 rnd mag when i want more. Im gonna get the the Pro Comp before the end of the year, put in the Apex trigger kit and honestly probably sell all my Glocks....Ive got the G17,G19,G26....they are all lacking....I like my G19 but i completely agree that its just a little too big/fat for my liking to carry all day-i put the ghost 3.5 lady bar connector in and did a 25 cent trigger job (polish the trigger bar) and that helped out alot for the trigger....The RDP I hardly notice im carrying it and can make 25 yard headshots all day in under 3 seconds from the holster-that solid wall once you take out the little bit of slack is so crisp and clean with the break-why i am actually more accurate....Shield SMSC red dot, streamlight TLR-8, Black point tactical leather wing holster, MCarbo trigger kit is my full setup

@@traviswest2546 I have two very custom Glocks and I almost never bring them out anymore for same reason. So much easier to carry a shield plus pc or my hellcat pro comp. I just put a prp trigger kit into the hellcat and it gives it a rolling break same as the TTI trigger kit for Glocks. Haven’t shot much through it but I had one in my original hellcat that I used over 6,000 rounds.

Use silicone rags to wipe it down weekly. Especially if you’re carrying the gun.

I have one, they are okay but they are smaller than any other 17 rd 9mm out there. Gotta give credit where it’s due. Nothing out there is going to be less girthy than a p365 of any model my brutha!
