Alexander Ardakov
Alexander Ardakov is graduate of the Moscow Conservatoire and a prize-winner at the Viotti International Competition (Italy)
Professor Alexander Ardakov has been living in the UK since 1991, where in addition to his performing career he teaches piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
Alexander Ardakov performed for BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM and has recorded numerous CDs including Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Among his recent engagements are recitals at the Bosendorfer Hall in Vienna, at St.John's Smith Square in London, at the Carnegie Hall in New York, in Casteig Music Centre in Munich and in the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford.
His sold-out recital in the Wigmore Hall was much acclaimed, and in 2007 his performance of Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto in the Banaroya Hall in Seattle received a standing ovation from the capacity two thousand-strong audience.
