Ridiculous. The world sleeping on Liv. Even with AGT. And listen to that band! Prince knew exactly wtf he was doing. That’s called genius. Even in discovering unknown but otherworldly talent. He did it time and time again. Especially if he wasn’t trying to sleep with them. Anyone remember Rosie Gaines from Diamonds and Pearls era? These women are at the LaBelle and Chaka level. They come proper. Not playing. Leave it to the Purple One. Even in the afterlife his protégés and band blowing peoples minds. Letterman was floored.

Talented women promoted by Prince are cold shouldered by the record industry if they stay in his ecosystem because the record industry, radio owners and some tv channels froze Prince out to depress his record sales and deny him grammy nominations etc after he took on Warner bros. And tried to make all artists aware of their rights and the importance of owning their masters. David Letterman was always an independent thinker and was happy to feature Liv even though Prince produced her Unexpected album. Paul Schaffer is well networked with great musicians like Prince.

Saw her live with Prince several times and she was always amazing. He never picked anyone other than killers. Her albums are better than any female rockers out there at the moment and she’s virtually unknown still. Ridiculous but that’s the music industry today. On life support truly.

How have I not heard of this woman before!? What a crime that she's not a number one singer. Its really baffling to me how someone this amazing has been relatively unknown but Taylor Swift is selling out stadiums. I hope I can hear this woman live someday, I bet it will be the best concert ever and I've been to a lot of concerts.

That's Prince's former band and she was a Prince backup singer. Glad they're still performing. Not sure why they're not household name, although New Power Generation use to be.

@@thateburoniguy9058yeah I think once you’re featured on major late night shows then you’re not considered an amateur but at the same time the music industry is so messed up that it probably didn’t market her band to be bigger than it could be.

They know her in Portland. Check out her 2006 "Embrace Me" album. Every cut is stellar. And when Nancy Wilson from Heart fell out with Ann who did she pick for vocals? Yep. Her and Shelby served it up it with Prince's NPG. She's the real deal. Been a fan for years. Y'all betta tell somebody!
