Those are cool ants. Do you raise ants? I raise Camponotus japonicus. It was a very good video. Thank you.

Parva here have a hard time controlling there food as fire ants and destructors always roaming around looking for a meal I have noticed after feeding them they will disappear for a few weeks and not venture out and I know where this colony is located just to much competition in this area ..Had a colony of these in a 5 gal bucket for about 4 yrs outside they did ok but checking there old home they were missing maybe just hiding.

The footage is really not sharp enough to be sure, but the head shape resembles the one of Dacetini (a tribe within the Myrmicinae), but there are other ants with similar head shapes. Hopefully you can capture better footage in the future.

Hi, not sure where you are located. The ant in the video is very likely a Tetramorium lanuginosum.
