don't forget about nostalgia baiting on versions of Minecraft that were completely bare bones and painful for everyone involved in those eras of the game. Seriously. As much as I love the modding community of 1.7.10, I will NEVER go under either 1.13 or 1.12 unless it's for nostalgic reasons, as I will rather suffer playing Moviestar Planet than deal with pre-1.13 Boats and Swimming mechanics.

You gave me a good laugh with this video, especially for how much these sorts of videos are like. XD With these kinds of "Minecraft is Boring because I've been playing ever since the dawn of the universe" videos, it makes me think of how my actual criticism of Minecraft's current design. Minecraft is much more obsessed with you being a completionist with all of these items, blocks, creatures, and bosses and the new items all do one hyper specific thing, rather than play with the systems that were built up years ago.

I think the only thing I found boring was the loneliness. I am a chronic solo player so the solo-ness gets a bit sucky after a while. A few minor mods to give villagers more depth and a few npcs makes the world feel so much more alive to me. What I found most troublesome is the low item stacks and weapon durability. But, mods solve that too.

Even if you speedrun killing the ender dragon and getting max netherite gear, you can still do so fucking much in the game, just look at Hermitcraft, they get enough elytras to start selling them to each other when they die within only a few episodes, but being a Hermitcraft member requires creativity, so the people making "Minecraft is Boring" videos don't understand.

i feel like finding minecraft boring all really stems if you have enough friends to maintain a genuine server, because for me, i can not bear singleplayer experiences without some kind of genuine progression, and minecraft is horrible on that front but when you have actually friends who have the time to maintain a server, you can actually have reason to be creative because people will actually see the things you make, but as an adult that gets fairly difficult to do because people have lives and would rather be spending time with their loved ones mostly

the main thing is that no matter your views on what makes a good update or not, the amount of content provided is always laughably low, and lately, literally copied from mods (breeze and breeze charge from lycanyte's mobs, warden from john mod, basically everything from 1.16 is from NetherEX..).. its just that updates are low effort no matter how you look at them. 17 new blocks for a whole year of development is just unacceptable
