Wow. No doubt he loves his dad. I feel the same way about my grandpa. When someone asks me about him, I can’t respond without a hesitation. My last surviving uncle for my mom’s side of the family recently called me. He’s so much like grandpa. When I answered, I couldn’t get past hello. Being 70 I’ve had a lot of time to reflect. I guys I forgot to mention that my mom divorced and from age 4 to 9. I lived on the farm and near it. With all that said, I can’t help but feel Randy’s emotions in that moment of the video.

I've watched Jamie & Gloria for a long time. I moved to the Rocket City in 1991 after USMC. I Started "watching" Rick & Bubba the first day they were simulcast on #TurnerSouth (SEP 2002). Been on radio 6 times (only called 6 times). I will miss Rick & Bubba. Thanks for doing this Jamie. SEMPER FI

Funny. The last time I laid eyes on Jamie Cooper, he has a full head of thick, brown hair. Glad to know that he's still around.

Rick and Bubba are two of my favorite people of all time. We went and sat in their studio audience twice and it was a blast. I listened to their radio show every day for years!!! Their intelligence and humor are the real deal but their Christian faith makes them the most appealing to me. Speedy, Greg and Helmsey round out their radio team and are great guys too.

It’s refreshing to watch these old videos of true authenticity. So much of what we see now on social media is scripted, staged and fake merely for clicks and shares. The people featured here were REAL. Thanks Jamie Cooper for posting this.

He is so humble and down to earth. You can feel it in the music. I have never heard nothing bad about any of the Alabama group. No drugs or scandals. Just good Country People. I asked my Father one time was he poor growing up and he said well we didn’t have much but we were happy and had plenty of good food.
