Hi, you should email each dealer individually, regardless if they have a Z10 Board part page on their site, because many have parts they don't list online. But since the Z10 has long bee EOL'd, I'm not sure if such parts exist, but it's worth a try I think.

Everyone is different, but if those are the only 2 options, I would much prefer the 18XL, a lot better reliability record in general, and bigger tire to absorb bumps better.

If you're talking the ones that keep the pedal rod affixed, it's always 5mm for all EUCs.

FWIW, most EUCs are like this, where the battery is shrink-wrapped, not in a plastic cartridge, which is just an extra, yet optional, layer of protection. KS briefly used a cartridge for the KS18L, then went back to straight up shrink wrapped packs for the 18XL and 16X, as the cartridge obviously robs some space, and those models have all the inner components packed in tight. In the event of a drop / event where the packs could fall out of the shell, the cartridges are beneficial, but for the design of these KS's, such events under normal circumstances is highly unlikely.

Wow, sorry to hear. That's a really tricky thing since any electronics submerged in water becomes an issue due to the short circuit factor. You could try to borrow someone else's Z to A-B swap parts and see what's still good, but it would really need a painstaking process to open both motor and battery to really ensure there is no water still in there that can short something or rust and create high resistance ultimately leading to burnout. I'm inclined to say, if you're not a technical guy, I would cut my losses, strip for parts or sell as water-logged wheel, sorry.

houseofjob fortunately we have several z10 around here... maybe we could do some swapping ... but that again ... do u have any idea which controls the self bAlancing? Tried searching the forum .. found no answer ... In case my friend decides to purchAse parts .. in your opinion which is a safer bet ? The main board or the mos board ?

​@@futurespeed8694 I've seen plenty a waterlogged battery create fires via thermal runaway, so for me, that would be my biggest concern (not sure how well the battery is wrapped, but if this wheel was fully submerged, it's very likely water penetrated the battery cassette). Self balancing on an EUC depends on a whole chain of things. From inside the motor where the motor wires connect to the stator is one. Then the cables run out the axle to the lower board. Then the board can have shorting issues. Lastly, the battery not powering things properly can also result in lack of balancing. Without A-B-ing it with another Z, you're just flying blind, there is no way to know what's wrong.

Who knows! We all thought NB was dead back 3-4 years ago when they were recycling the 16" One IP into the 14" same spec series, then they dropped a surprise in this Z. I think EUC is last priority for the XiaoMi/Ninebot/Segway umbrella, so if they do drop a new wheel, it'll be awhile. And the new wheel I doubt will be high V, as they are stubborn with safety, as you can see by the Z10 being 14S, which is 1 cell down from their 15S 16" & 14" wheels.

@@houseofjob ah you mean they go lower voltage due to less risk for arcing? But aren't the cells themselves the biggest risk? I'm thinking fire du to overheat, overcharge and so on.

Maybe it's time to buy a z10 and do a 100V project :-) new motor, different control board i guess. But on the other hand i don't think batteries would fit if aiming for 2KWh 100V

@@bigbadboogie6842 There's an old school belief that running things at higher voltage is less safe than running at lower voltage (think that's why the older US electricity system is running 120V household vs overseas is 240V(?)) But yeah, what you allude to, that lower V means you need to run higher A, is very true, which is why NB made the whole damn underbelly of the Z10 innershell a gigantor heatsink, which is awesome IMHO because most manufacturers skimp monumentually IMHO in this cooling area, especially as the power keeps increasing for these EUCs. I guess the cells themselves are stressed more, but I think that's less trivial, as there are plenty in parallel.

Thanks! LOL, yeah, Z10 had lots of promise, but they needed to keep going with it. Oh well, Ninebot has been proclaimed dead before, but I doubt it, they will resurrect their EUC property some day once again. For ground clearance, you can't raise the pedals too high, or else you're going to introduce too high a total center of mass; something has to be down there to balance everything out then, as a well-designed EUC carries it's weight elements (rider, batteries) as close to the axle and as balanced around the axle as possible, or you can increase the wobble factor. And you'd be surprised that you can really maneuver most any wheel, Z10 or not, pretty expertly without a hug/pad-based technique, and it's safer and more efficient to boot. Trying to put out a video on that before the summer is out.

Haha, I'm with you, but give Ninebot Some credit, this wheel is like year+ old now, and they're squeezing remarkable performance relatively speaking out of much much lower Voltage than their competitors FWIW.

I agree again, i was amazed when it came out. My friend outrolled my tesla with this on paper less performamcy wheel, both in range and top speed (might have been the same, dont quite remember). Amd ot felt super stable, like a tank compared to the twitchy tesla. Still

Thanks! And congrats on the EUC purchase! I'd say tips for starting out that guys tend to miss: :::Mounting::: 1. Don't let the wheel run away from you: it should always be fairly under your body's midline / center of mass (this also goes for your upper body, as it too should not stray far in the beginning from center) 2. To get the best leverage to step up / mount, make sure your lead mount leg's foot is slightly toe in / narrower than your heal. This will point your shin into the EUC body so that your mount leg pushes back the opposite direction the EUC body wants to fall. 3. Falling in line with the above, start the mount with the EUC body slightly leaning the opposite direction that your mount leg makes it fall. So if you're right-foot dominant, the EUC body will lean a little left, so by the time your opposite leg mounts, the EUC body "falls" to an upright position. Don't worry about dropping the wheel, making sure to foam pad any areas you're concerned about scratching (pedals, etc.) 4. Also, while doing the above and preventing Mounting Point #1, a good body cue is that your 2 knees (mounting leg and ground leg) should not separate in distance too much. So the prep mount position will feel like very pigeon-toed of sorts, combining with the slightly inward toe. :::Riding::: 1. Stay away from any wall aid, as this will only retard your progress. Aim for a big flat space, but with some borders, in case your wheel runs away from you. 2. Remember, your body weight is over your heels, so being on an EUC standing perfectly upright over your heels means braking, so there is a slight forward lean emphasis (but never lean too forward an angle). 3. It will be hard, but avoid hugging the wheel with your heels, as this makes for a narrow and unstable stance. 4. It will also be hard, but practice making forward progression pressing the fronts of the pedals by pressing through the front balls of your feet, as if you were going to lift your heels. Remember, only one needs to press, doesn't need to be both, and this will help form good habits with stuff like maneuvering and avoiding foot arch pain. 5. If you're having trouble staying on the wheel, avoid straight legs (at least one should always be bent, preferably one bent and one straight at a time in alternation), and counterbalance from falling off the wheel using this idea of balancing through the balls of your feet, just like we would do balancing in any sport while standing up. 6. Combined with point 5 above, you can use your hip turns as well to help stay on the wheel, as in the beginning, some will almost "tug" twist with their hips to correct the EUC from falling. :::Braking::: 1. If you have any issue with braking, just thinking of attempting to sit down, as your arse carries alot more weight balance than you think. Then, you can dismount reversing the mount process. Anyways, hope that helps!

Sorry, I never got that far into the disassemble, couldn't tell you. But searching the EUC forums (forum.electricunicycle.org) or posting there would be a good start.

I did it today and all screws you have to remove are on the handle but there are two screws under the Side cover so I had to remove all three side covers on both sides. A lot of work and then just wiped the water of the button and power on/off worked again. The Button is not very waterproof.

@@milanfpv5099 Wow, yeah, maybe you should be trying to replace that power button then, electronics don't work the same in my experience once they've been exposed to water.

@@milanfpv5099 That won't happen, as there are safeties against that going above a certain speed threshold for all EUC (don't remember what exact speed, but it's something like 5-10kph)

why not bu a crappy ninebot s2 or c for 300 to 400 refurbed on ebay and then demo it yo everybody to show how cool it is. yhen more ppl will buy the better wheels. then u can try their wheels and or sell ur ninebot to a kid and get back most of ur money

I bought used underwear, and I itched for a week......................................The last one was a joke btw. Anyways I don't have the money to buy anything that I want, but only need like food, bills, and my pain meds, and barely I can't even afford that sometimes. You could say I pass hitting rock bottom. Well the good thing is that I'm able to sort of go back to work the end of this year since I can't even get aid for my illness, but only light work like food delivery, or a door attender. I would wish to go back to repairing electronics like before, but my eyes are useless, had four surgeries, and I still can't see right. I have nerve damage from a birth defect that worsen with an accident that I had at work. You probably asking why in the hell would you want a Unicycle when you're all sorts of mess up? I just say this, if I'm able to ride those awesome wheels the joy of it will out weigh the pain. I'm so stinking tired of being trapped in the house for four years. Yes!, even before the pandemic I was stuck in the house trying to heal up. So you know my frustration where I can't afford a wheel that I want. Also I changed my mind about wanting the Monster. Don't get me wrong, I still love the the wheel. I just found something that is better, and is the same price, the Veteran Sherman. I feel that is a good deal, and quality in structure durability, better range, and it's crazy fast. I'm not going to be going that fast if I ever get it.

@@tangtang7051 i imagine ull only have hardcore ppl in ur community if u plan on demoing a veteran that almost nobody will be able to ride. youll probably scare more ppl as it looks pretty intimidating. their backs will hurt so much from trying to learn on it (im 115lbs and learned on a 55lb wheel...could only do 15min at a time before aching)....wouldnt be surprised if most have a unrealistic negative opinion of eucs leaving only the most extreme to remain...but maybe thats what ur looking for
