I hear ya mate 👍 Someone commented earlier, that they visited a few guitar stores in another province in China and didn't recognise any of the brands on offer. I think with this one being in the capitol, they may be trying to attract more tourists with some of the brands on offer 🤷‍♂️

I didn't spot any red flags, and the prices are pretty much the same as back home here in the UK. Counterfeits would be priced accordingly

@ Well, unless they’re great counterfeits and they’re trying to get real Gibson prices. In this case, watching to the end, the shop seems legit.

i never seen a youtube video of chinese guitar players. I didnt know guitar was even a thing over there except for counterfeit guitars. not sure i would trust the authenticity of any guitar in that store

Yup It's certainly a thing. Google and KZbin is banned in China - probably why you've not seen as much stuff. They have another video platform in china called "BiliBili". The guitars in this store are the same prices as back home here in the UK. Counterfeits exist of course, but would be priced accordingly. I didn't spot any red flags in this store

@@stevecassidyguitar Might be interesting to listen to what the guitarists over there are doing musically, like is there a Chinese John Petrucci? or a Chinese Guthry Govan? can u imagine tradtional chinese music melded with metal or some other genre.

@@coolcatsguitars There are some 7 year old kids that can shred your face off! 😂 Just think of the pure size and population, and the culture of competition and parents who are keen for their kids to learn instruments in China. The players over there are mind blowing 🤯👌

I wonder how that neck feels compared to a Strat type of guitar!

It does feel a bit different from a strat with it having that slightly shorter 25" scale length. It's not super thin or mega chunky either, similar to a Fender modern C - but definitely worth trying out to experience for yourself 😀👍

Lots of budget brands punching way above their weight class. Same money gets a lot more if your not a brand fan boi
