I was at the big RV show in Quartzite in January. There was an awning company there that the awning is a giant solar panel. I don’t remember the name of the company, but if that interests you I’m sure you’d be able to find them.

You really should not put out the units on mass media.... It causes an imbalance in activity and then management issues. Out west we have seen it again and again that articles (before social media) would get published about the "Best" Unit/area for Mule Deer/Quail/Elk etc and then that Unit gets flooded, and the populations destroyed before the State management plans can't catch up (usually they are several years behind on the ground in reality). A Field and Stream article in the 80s named a Unit for Quail and it was destroyed and 40yrs later it really still has not recovered and is barely starting to see returns that are now only decent. They published an article on a good easy draw / OTC Mule Deer area in NM that had record sizes... totally wiped out the majority of the gene pool and it hasn't had anything decent come out of that unit in 3 decades now. Best policy of ALL the major influencers is to NOT give out Units.... You can mentor or help people with questions who contact you directly and offline but putting it out in mass media is really not fair to the Units/the system/nor the health of the management of the Game Animals being targeted. Just FYI. I am a very active Guide and I make my living off this kind of stuff (without any social media) and I watch, track, and observe the results of this kind of thing and how it impacts Game populations. It's not a bang on anyone. It is advice to help keep our public game animals in proper balance and there for the future.

this unit is not one of the best units to hunt. It's just a unit that has antelope (which all units do) and is easier to draw because of its limited access. I gave up the info because when I went out there I didn't know where to go and there was no help, so now I'm helping. See my New Mexico mule deer video and I give up the unit I'm hunting in.

It really isn't a great idea to release the Units that your hunts are in in general but also for the management of that State's units/draws etc. You might not realize it but it has potential to impact them in negative ways.... All major influencers don't release that information because they understand the impact it can have on scale to the State's programs. There is nothing wrong with helping people that reach out directly or personally and ask if you would be helpful.... but putting it out to the masses in the video format isn't really being helpful... it has potential of being a big negative to those who hunt that hunt or those who draw or have points etc. for those Units that all of a sudden now become unavailable... that's the unintended negative impact of "being Helpful" with that type of info. I know and it isn't even uncommon now for people to use the Metadata from still photos and back track where someone killed a really nice bull, buck, ram etc. I know for a fact that even your OnX data gets snatched too and triangulated to the exact location of the photo. That's why a lot of times hunters that know will also not include distinct backgrounds, topography, landmarks where they got a quality animal. Its mostly because there are a few folks out there who work really hard to find your honey holes and then take advantage of your hard work and your time spent finding the spots you found. When that's done on scale it can impact and swamp a particular Unit or spot and ruin the advantages it once had... in the example I used with Quail and Mule Deer it ruined those locations for decades and maybe forever. But cool footage , nice hunt, and enjoy.

I have a Marquesa 30 2 speed. I fish (Pin Rig) from the end of a Ocean Pier, in North Carolina, for Kings. My problem, is, the Clicker isn't loud enough, and if I'm sitting 30-40 ft away. Can't hear it, if a fish hits. Any way to make the Clicker louder? Honestly, it's not much louder, with the clicker on, than it is, while turning the handle, with it off. I have an Accurate 2 speed, about the same size, that is plenty loud.

take the clicker out and file it so its not smooth.

So that's a baby alligator distress call. Some gators will come to eat babies, some will come to *defend* the babies, even if they aren't their own. I'd be careful playing this, especially in nesting season, because you might get a gator that's like...coming for a fight instead of for a meal.

I’m from Wyoming and I will never understand why anyone pays an outfitter or guide to hunt antelope they are so easy and fun to hunt
@FishingSouthFlorida6 ай бұрын
People who hire guides usually don't have the time to scout or don't have the patience to do the hard work.I am a fishing guide myself and I appreciate and rely on my clients to make a living. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in WY. headed to NM this fall for a mule deer.

@@FishingSouthFlorida see I could understand using a guide for fishing with getting into the mountains or even the ocean and I could see using a guide for mule deer, elk, moose, bison, mountain goats and big horn sheep but I couldn’t justify it for antelope when there are more of them then there are people lol and there easy to hunt just by driving around

What’s the story on the spurs? Is the size of the spur to tell the age/ and or the weight of the bird more than just the diameter of their legs?
