History lesson. Bmw an benz both had turbskis and super chargers back in ww2. It wasn't new tech really they just had to figure out how to cool them and still make them break to just the right degree😂😂😂 bmw tech😢

As a BMW E92 sport pak. owner driving both M3 and Naturally aspirated straight 6 we rather drive the sure, and less problematic car. Ok" the horse power is less but in the end the whole picture is way cheaper and reliable. We're now at 190,000 miles and the car/ engine is still purring well. Like any BMW, or any other car for that matter Maintenance is key as well as the knowledge of how to do all the work yourself. Now if you love track day we'll our E92 dose very well with the N51 3 stage manifold with a tune and ready 155 mph sometimes a little more. Do 3 runs, change the oil and continue the fun...! And then beginning of the week back to work. Hopefully you have a wonderful race day, your car is spectacular brother good luck, and wish you well..BMW forever..!

Nice & short, clean, crisp pops/cracks are nice. These crackles are trash, I hate people have them in the tune these days. I couldn't even watch half the driving stuff, just lame bangs, on and off throttle or music? Other than that, what a great car. The shifter looks interesting, being so long. SC whine sounds mad.

Though this was 3 years ago; watching this today made my day. Thanks Spencer ! Still looks SICK as of this day and forward. Gotta love the square 295 set-up :)

Spencer, A few years ago I came across the video of you taking delivery of your Interlagos Blue E90 M3. Your reaction and obvious passion for cars made me do my own research on the E90 M3. 2 months later I had my very own 2011 E90 M3. I love that car and if it weren’t for you, I would have something different in the garage. I hope you’re doing well man! I miss you and your videos.

In addition to numerous accolades during its production run, the e92 S65 motor won the International Engine of the Year for 5 consecutive years. Very impressive taking into consideration that it was in the same category as Porsche, Nissan, & McLaren. McLaren took the title back after the S65.

Looks wise ..the F8x is a legend. The E92 is too heavy and no torque...which is unacceptable. You can however pulverise the E9x..that S65 is soul. Both are great..but the F8x with akro exhaust..its not close. Also..the crankhub is not an issue. Its 5-10x less of an issue than the rod bearing issue on the s65..
@jldp2426 күн бұрын
The crankhub is not an issue unless you pushing 800 horses..you need to tune his engine to hell for this to be an issue ..oh and you need to driive it like an animal.

the crankhub is not a real thing unless you mod the hell out of the car.

@petebrown6356Ай бұрын
I've had many manual vehicles but the DCT isn't like any automatic I've ever had. The instant shift performs, you have such fast control over which gear you want. I don't feel like I lose anything - but gain much more convenience in traffic.

What everybody failed to mention i think is why BMW chose the friction plates over traditional stronger strategies with pins or keys or even one piece? You think they don't have capable engineers ?..I think I have a theory based on the planned obsolescence. Where do you think all the shaving from the friction plate goes to ? Which leads to more friction and savings. Why are n54, n55, s55 plauged with bearing issue? Miscalculations of clearances or oil types? Do BMW really hire crappy engineers? No. Lets think about this hard. While the enthusiasts and aftermarket companies empty their pockets on finding fixes. BMW funnels in the cash until a class sue or next iteration. Something has to bring in big bucks. Spark system, fuel system, mechanical system, and the endless plastics all are made to fail. If they fail to ofter and the public catches on then they make it slightly better part but not long enough to disrupt their business. Make em fun to drive so its addictive but empty their pockets while at it.
