You have to cheese the shit out of rogue, barely anyone plays how it was intended. Everything you need to know is on the wiki (peak game design), otherwise try to learn the different armors people might don to discern whether they're a ultra or not; if they're an ultra log. Buy and use assassin's armor until you get your ultra armor. The game is basically hit things with a certain weapon type for X hundred times, go talk to your trainer, pay for skills, get orderly (jail players) or chaotic (kill players) enough to go to your next trainer for your specific class. It's been 2 weeks so you might've already gotten the hang of it by now. The game is really only good as a fighting game (and even then its full of braindead noskill combos that rely on infinite stun and stupid mobility).
