Had this ottoman when I was Germany but let the task rabbit do it for me. I'm back stateside and picked up the Finnala ottoman - this video was a great help!!! 😊 I'm ready to curl up for some naps this winter.

well from what it looks like K+E might be out of business. the digital age with software being used most of the time old-school drafting is going out. i have seen sets being sold on auction websites though.

I could see modeling up some custom guides for things like a really nice signiture or seal.... like a little KillRoy doodle to mark prints.

yes that would be neat. my first thought would be using a 3d printer to create some but my second thought is to use a laser carver. you would just need "blanks" that are the right over all size, then have the laser carve what you would want the pen to recreate. as long as it carves smoothly.

Hello, well the Lettering stuff that i have is not for sale, but some of the auction places on line might have them. i am a bit surprised i would think that most schools would want the students to use an electronic drafting program.

If you came to this video to figure out how to get the cover for the base of the Vilme Ottoman on, don't bother watching. The way he describes it here doesn't work and he didn't show how he got it on. He cuts off after one side and then cuts to it completely on. I spent 45 mins trying to get mine on and gave up and called IKEA for a replacement because there's no way mine is going on without breaking

and did you ever get your replacement form IKEA? how was that one?? so yeah i would say most people would get the jest of how the cover goes on, but yes they are tight fitting! it was for the best that i cut out part of the struggle and perhaps words that might have been said while i was finishing the other sides of the base.

@@TheOddJobDoer I did get a replacement the next day and yes that one fit. Still a tight fit but not impossible and did still take a while to go on. That struggle and how you actually managed to get it on is what ppl need to see. I only looked up videos on how to put the Ottoman together BECAUSE I was struggling with the cover so much and wanted to see what others were doing to work out what I was doing wrong. Even if it was an abridged, sped up, highly cut up etc edit of it. Then show the actual technique of how to get it on would be beneficial for ppl

@@antheaproudfoot7214 i have a feeling i got the other parts / sides on inch by inch.. i do all my own stunts in my videos, but the world does not need to see me cry.. i have a feeling that how the product is made some will fit tighter then others. next it will be interesting to see how the covers fit after they have been washed and dried... i will not be answering that any time soon because the struggle is real!

well they are a bit of an lost art. i can use these to ink on a 100'X100' piece of paper (if i had one) but they don't make plotters that big, or printers.

so the 3 smaller ones should be $44.99 and the Mansion should be $149.99. i say "should be" as that is MSRP. when looking around it seems there are a lot of second hand sellers that want more.

Great video. Thanks. I was gifted a leroy ii for Christmas similar to the one you demo'd. There is no side screw in this model and I'm not sure how to adjust the opening to allow the pen head to get down far enough like yours in the video. I see there is a pin on the back and I'm wondering if mine is broken. Does that pin allow the hole to widen and close? Thanks for any help.

it is kind of hard to tell without looking at it, but if the pin is on the bottom side there is one far away from where the pen goes in that goes in to the lettering track. then a sharper one that goes in to the letters, and there might be another one that is a bit adjustable that is used for the depth of the pen or pencell. some do not have the side set screw to clamp down on the pen, but there is a piece of metal that runs along the side of the scribe that you can push in then put the pen in the hold and release to clamp the pen in.

What do i do when i turn off the water no water is going to my air conditioner?

If you have a Swap cooler or evaporative cooler you can turn off the water supply and leave it running for a bit depending on how hot it is outside. so work quickly! for longer projects where the water will need to be turned off, you should shut down the cooler. if your water reservoir runs dry it could burn up your water pump(s).

A You have to grab the cube with 2 holes and that these two holes look at the part where you can see the inside of the cell and the part that does not have holes that looks at the opposite part

If stool is at its height, how can it be lowered? sit on it and Push Lever “Down” ? I tried it both ways and the unit will not lower it self down. So now what can I do to make it go down?

It should be that you sit on the stool and lift up on the lever. then if you wanted to raise it lift up on the lever with out sitting on the stool... if you are sitting on the stool and lifting up on the lever and it does not go down, it is either as low as it will go, or maybe your not heavy enough??

I purchased a Hyper Tough and I bought it because it stated that the height 15-25 inches but the lowest mines will go is 16 1/2 inch. I needed the 15 inch. Any ideas?

Just a heads up. You can do all the wiring in your home. It's much easier than sitting in a car. Once the wiring is complete, just plug in the harnesses.

Soak in Windex to clean pens. Next, not really necessary to remove the nib from the pen barrel if you clean the pen once you finish using them. However, I never took apart any nib smaller than a #1. as 0000, 000, 00 pens wire are to easy to bend when inserting plunge. In addition, The paper used makes a big difference as drafting paper and film had finishes add to the top of them to limit soak thru. I had to buy some used sets on Ebay, as I needed to correct some mylar original that the County Engineer does allow rub-on letter (stock pile) or sticky backs. So I have correct using Leroy Style, I have Wrico guides, but I have used with ink. I used to use Wrico Guides with Pencil (Pentel or Mechanic pencils) Don't forget the Pounce!!!!! Try Find some of that stuff now. ( same thing old stock pile ) Good luck finding Erasers for the Erasing Machine. I am out.

Ahh good O'l Windex!! a lot of good information there and who really needs a 0000 pen?? i was at a yard sale the other day and seen a pad of the K&E drafting paper, someone got it before i went back but i did get two adjustable triangles.. i think i still have some vellum rolled up from class, and i know i have some of the erasers.. but at this point i bet they are all burn little buff..

so for most the connections i used the goop in the bottle that came with it for the 90 degree one that goes to the cylinder i did not use any, just the O ring that is there.. there is another video of me setting it all up, and i have not had any leaks yet. i can say that after using the goop in the bottle i gave it time to "dry" some.

I keep seeing Grey for the front right and white for the front left... if all you did were replace the front speakers, then maybe you got the negative and positive swapped.
