My Anker solix DC has 140W port. 135/134W realtime. My f1 Pro x1 draws about 48 watts. Shame that it uses 130W.. 178 Watts... Now i could decrease the TPD somewhat but it will be still discharging greatly. Would limiting the fps decrease power usage of the egpu? or could you undervolt/clock/ alter power limit? to bring the power down by 30-43 watts😅?!

I can’t speak on the challenges you have had as I just opened mine up to get set up. The case tho and size is large and to me it is more fitting as a way to connect your handheld to the TV even (or at least that’s what I plan to do with mine). The first gen OXP egpu is more suited for on the go because of the smaller size and I actually did that for CES 2025; this is especially relevant when space and weight of your bag through checking bags is everything. Thanks for the honest review as always and I hope that these issues if they are continuing can get resolved soon (or have). The egpu first gen from OXP was for me with oculink and a 7840u and 8840u APU on the device a plug and play experience.

Thanks bro! I do hope that these are just driver issues not found on the retail model myself. Great points abou the portability and use case of this being a docked solution!

Thanks for your comments. So I did test it with the 7840U which unfortunately worked and didn't work. I think it's largely a driver issue which is (hopefully) a non-issue on the retail units. Unfortunately for me I cannot afford to spend the money on a retail unit to test this. Thanks again for your comments!

Nobody test VR games on a handheld button, connecting external graphic card by using USB 4 port, but in the future, they’re claiming that they’re gonna create a port that will be reaching up to 80 gigs that’s gonna happen maybe next year if it was released this year that means other handheld products will probably release until next year or two it’s basically called a USB 4 v2.0
@gamers-generation7 күн бұрын
@Russiangamerpro2021 nobody except me tested it? Hehe. If you're talking about thunderbolt 5, I wouldn't hold my breath. If the handheld uses AMD, it'll still have to go through USB4, and either way unfortunately it will top out around 64GB/s as some bandwidth won't be used for the GPU itself.

Great review, thanks for the honesty. I as well had some rough experiences with the same unit and was really having a rough time with using it on the ally x at first and then also towards the end. When it was working right, it performed pretty well actually on cod and forza but I was a bit frustrated that compatibility issues and driver issues will persist and keep you on your toes when gpu drivers update and windows updates. I had an issue a time or two as I was running a sideloaded driver that was good known working and a new driver update came out from asus and it completely borked everything for me. I had to redo everything and spend more time and It ruined my gaming session i was just about to embark on. Some people may have better experiences with onexplayer handhelds and other better experiences like many of the brand ambassadress have shown. I want the brand to grow and succeed into wider audiences and sometimes it does take us as content creators using our voice of reason and share any experiences for better or for worse. Sometimes being brutally honest is far better of an outcome for both the consumer and the brand vs being too nice. Thanks for keeping it real with us and sharing what you experienced.

Thank you for your words of support bruv! It really is difficult to parse in a short period of time with the little turnaround time we have. Coupled with the "not-working-out-of-the-box" experience poses an additional challenge. It's important for sure to share authentic experiences whether its from our mistakes or someone elses. No one is saying who is "right" or who is "wrong", just that this was what happened and as a document of events. Appreciate you my dude!

Hi friend, sorry for the delayed response. Just to clarify with you, when you say you're using a wired connection, you mean on the Go itself right? And are you using Virtual Desktop or Steam Link? Also how far are you and the headset from your router when you try to play? I haven't gotten around to testing Skyrim VR on the Go (plan to do so this week) but I did test it out with mods on the Onexfly F1 Pro (stay tuned for that video!) and it ran surprisingly well, so I expect slightly worse performance on the Go but still playable I'd expect.

@gamers-generation thanks for responding I'm using steamlink and I do mean that it's connected to the go itself and I'm only about 15 feet away from my router and I've tried it closer it still dosent work great it might just be a me problem but it really sucks

@@YowaddlesGaming Hi again! Sorry for the late response. So the past few days I've been doing some testing and from what I've found trying out SkyrimVR, it'll work in vanilla, but with mods it's really a case of YMMV. Have you been trying it modded? It might also be that Virtual Desktop is just better set up for it with lower overhead.

Any issus with Motion Sickness?
@gamers-generation10 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment, sorry for the late response. Technically I've not experienced any motion sickness I think because the FOV is too small and it doesn't trigger anything like that for me. I suppose if you're playing something or watching something with very fast movement it might be possible, especially if you're very sensitive to motion sickness though.
@Kabak198810 күн бұрын
@gamers-generation No problem, it really depends on the sensitivity of most people. I've ordered one and will test it. I want to use it as a screen replacement and not for "VR" content. Nice and relaxed from the sofa or bed. Thank you for the videos and the feedback
@gamers-generation10 күн бұрын
@Kabak1988 understood! Yeah it'll be great for TV and movie watching on the sofa or bed. Also just to clarify, it's not really for "VR" in the sense that the virtual environments for gaming are more immersive and these glasses aren't able to deliver that. Thanks again for your reply!
