What is the piece at the very beginning of the video? It sounds so familiar, but I can't seem to be able to recall it.

The piece in several places is not easy even for such a Pianist as Rafał Blechacz, the first prize Winner in 2005 Chopin Piano Competition. Why Chopin added (because I believe he did that) to the word 'Polonaise' the next one -'Fantaisie' ?

Has enough been made of the fact that Ashkenazy’s father was a professional pianist and composer - of popular music? Is this one reason Ashkenazy communicates so directly? And is it a reason so many piano mavens as his career progressed dismissed Ashkenazy as a popular favorite rather than a remote, obscure and more “interesting” musician? Vladimir Ashkenazy was lauded fifty years ago by one of the most astute critics, Harris Goldsmith, over Gilels and Richter for his Beethoven. Why is he not more honored today? There are perils in being too popular.

He was the Timothee Chalamet of the day! (Yes, of course, I know pianist and actor aren't the same, but both are artists and similar in looks and widespread acclaim.) Here's hoping TC can have such a long and illustrious career and doesn't fall prey to alcohol, drugs, and "fast living."

Your channel is amazing! I can't fathom the amount of work it must have taken to improve the audio of these Dang Thai Son recordings and uploading the videos. The quality is so much better than the mainstream channel "newtide1980". Son's interpretation of Op. 10, No. 8 has been my all-time favourite for a while. Cheers!
