Why would you not simply follow the instructions from the company?
@rogerbeilby17952 ай бұрын
At the point of manufacture the wallpaper manufacturer should be making sure that the edges of the wallpaper are coated with the appropriate dark colour, we are wallpaper installers it's our job to install not to patch up something the manufacturer should have done, Graham & Brown UK don't have white edges showing on dark wallpapers;

@@naturalartwallcover Thanks for the response. I struggle with the blade trying to slide out while cutting. Does this blade lock or at least hold its position well? Thanks again

@@gatorkidd4320 this blade works really well for us and it locks into place. you can see us use it in just about all our videos.

Thank you so much!! I do have a question: What is the PURPOSE of booking? Is it just so that the adhesive won't dry out while you wait?
@naturalartwallcover4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Booking the wallpaper lets the paste soak in properly. This helps spread the paste evenly, preventing any dry spots. It also keeps the paste from drying out too soon. Booking makes the wallpaper easier to handle and less likely to stretch or tear. It helps the installer know which way is up or down and makes it easier to move the wallpaper from the pasting table to where it will be installed. Remember, each type of wallpaper has different wait times for booking-some need 2-3 minutes, others 5-10 minutes, and some even up to 30 minutes for the paste to soak in properly. Hope this helps! :)

I clamp my straight edge to the table to keep it from moving and use a razor blade to trim with. 40 years in the business.

The idea of plate covers is that the grimy fingerprints and oils from hands can be wiped off easily without getting on the wallcoverings. Worst case you can easily change the plate inexpensively. If you wallpaper the plate (with any design) that benefit is all gone... I'd never do this.

Thank you for your comment! I can understand that line of thinking. All of our clients have different preferences and this is what they wanted for their home. 😀
@stephanquintin70134 ай бұрын
if it gets dirty you can just replace the cover cheaply and quickly, but it getting dirty in the first place depends on how high the traffic is that room, could be years befor you have to replace it.
